Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

Welcome Cigna Employees

I want to apologize that some HCSC employees have chosen to handle a challenging day by posting in a less-than-professional manner.

That being said, we’re glad to have you here and look forward to learning from you while sharing our own knowledge and experience.

It might be a bit bumpy at first, but we’ll get through it together.

Welcome to HCSC!

HCSC wants our H and S Contracts and Membership. The only thing they want from Cigna employees is for them to leave. They've made that abundantly clear.

I’m former Cigna, for those who complained that HCSC was not welcoming us.

  1. If you’re office assigned, did you make an effort to show up in the office? I was in the nashville office, it felt like ghost town. HCSC senior leaderships were there, imagine how they felt. Mr. Frank stopped by to introduce him and asked if I could login OK and to let him know if I need anything. Other HCSC people stopped by introducing themselves.
  2. If you’re remote, did you login to HSCS remote desktop? You will see welcome emails, etc. I teared up on the welcome video. I’m sure there will be town-hall after HCSC gets a good adoption rate to their portal.

Change is hard for both sides, as much as you prepare there’s always an unknown, and it’s ok we will figure out. While HSCS has to run their side of business they have to bring us in as well and we have to run the business and get ready for the separation from cigna platform we have to understand the challenges we are both facing

As a conveying employee, it seems like HCSC wasn't as prepared for us as they could have been. What about a viva site, what about a welcome meeting? A good bye from Cordani and a welcome email from Maurice Smith didn't give us the warm and fuzzies.

This is NOT true. I have a copy of my resignation letter and receipt for bonus. If I was fired I would not have received that.

HCSC leadership has completely ghosted Cigna for the first three days. What an awful first impression.

(Most of) the people laid off were those ineligible for rehire by HCSC because they were former employees who were terminated for cause (e.g. misconduct).

Has anyone set up a Viva Engage group yet for the new people? I've seen several questions on this site that would benefit from the helpful HCSC employees inside the company channels.

We feel incredibly unwelcome by HCSC, but thanks for trying.

Thank you for the welcome. We are like all of you I imagine excited but also worried. We do not know what to expect much as you don't but are hoping for the best.

They can't read so they won't see this.
