Cigna senior developer role pays around 150-160k with bonus but for the similar role hcsc pays only 130-140. Salary reduction after merger ?

Yeah. God bless the USA. Unless you’re in a union we can pay you whatever we feel like. Some people will be getting made whole for the first year with a one-time bonus in december, presumably to get you to stick around til then, but I think that’s only for directors and above.
For the first year they will match dollar for dollar what you made the prior year. At that point we are re-banded with HCSC. They have been diplomatic in their wording about whether that means a salary reduction instead saying "we are making every effort to avoid that". The exception is Cigna band 5 and up who are losing LTI. They will face significant pay cuts.
