Now that all the technical experts are leaving Imperial, I'm sure the GBC in Bangalore or KL will handle this type of stuff far better! #weareexxonmobil

India "Returnship Program"
L M A O. Seen on LI. How's that outsourced staffing plan working out, execs?
"If you’re on a #career break and looking to restart your professional journey👩💻, read on.
Though career gaps are not uncommon, they’re still frowned upon by many. At ExxonMobil, we agree with recruiters advocating for a change in this mindset. I’m happy to announce the ExxonMobil India Returnship Program for experienced professionals who’ve chosen to take a career break for any reason. Our 12-week, paid, office-based program includes mentoring and #networking sessions, trainings, and project assignments to enable a soft launch for returners. Candidates shortlisted at the end of the program may be offered full-time employment.
People take career breaks for a host of reasons and the deserving shouldn’t be overlooked if they are trying to return after a gap. Here’s a call to those who have refueled their career after a break: drop your story in the comments, so that our applicants can get an inspiration boost should they need it😊

Taking away employee perks since 2001. Way to go #weareexxonmobil
Had my PDS feedback done in Aug and was told that I delivered alot of business value and avoided RC2 financial risk totalling USD15 million. All of which was done remotely due to covid travel restriction. KO feedback had praises for quality, timely delivery of business result.
Did all that just to be ranked as Middle Average or in Exxonmobil speak "Good" bucket. The other sponsored US kool aid drinker in Singapore gets Outstanding ranked working in a non-running plant and for attending meetings/showing up. #Winning #WeAreExxonmobil
Not a thing anymore! Now it’s #WeAreExxonMobil, but it’s all the same corporate BS. Wow you want us to collaborate and innovate? How novel.
@1ggb+1gV0Kenh, good observation. Most posting about Asian day on LI were those of non Asian descent. Lol. Hypocrisy at best. #WeAreExxonMobil.
Worker bees like me don't give a sh-t because I have a workload of 5 people. It appears to be those in supervisory, managerial, VPs type role that have luxury to indulge in social media all day instead of doing anything useful to makes money for the company. Surprisingly, these suckers are rewarded at the cost of worker bees. And when the worker bees leave these suckers higher more worker bees to continue on there sh-t and no work! Yep, #WeAreExxonMobil!
But seriously you’re mostly correct. There are some good ones out there but even that has limits. They have to toe the line and protect their careers. Sad to see that when the newest generation of engineers just want to be recognized for being great at their jobs. Exxonmobil is setup to build managers, not leaders, that do exactly as they are told. So much for entrepreneurial spirit.
@1sow+1fS39TZw well, did you not see us deliver the Yellow snoop Boston robotics dog? It was awesome, wasn't it? Not sure what's it doing these days. We did dog and a pony show with it and make the photos go viral on LI to show the world how innovative and progressive we are. And now the doggie is no where to be seen. Let's say together with arrogance, #WeAreExxonMobil.
Because #WeAreExxonMobil, that's why!
Want to work in xom, don't say anything against MSP
Work delivered by MSP is of $hit quality and number of resource they add to work for data entry stuff is amazing but still if we say anything against them well its your fault, no wonder why company graphs is going down. Job which was done by 1 person in Huston is now done by 10 people in quest.
CL28, YEE 23, G, 1%. No RSU. #weAreExxonMobil. If the Real Boat Captain is monitoring, would enjoy seeing your %, RSUs….what a joke this company has become over my tenure, it is clear Mgmt wants the lifers to leave.
“We truly are sad when people quit it sometimes brings us to tears. It’s totally not how we plan to hit our global workforce numbers”
Great! Let’s fix this then. Let’s get people excited to work for us and not quit, which you supposedly want (even though we all know this is how you plan to hit global work force numbers). People are quitting for things like pay, wfh, equality, etc. So let’s look at those topics!
“Like DW said we plan on working in the office because #weareexxonmobil and everyone will be like us someday!”
“We benchmark against a bunch of nobodies because we don’t want to pay you. Be happy we give you money at all!”
“Diversity means a lot to a lot of different people. We are super diverse because we hire in a lot of countries. It’s not my fault that they never make it anywhere, just bad luck I guess!”
Do you see any problems?
@xdi+1dPM2COY ...because #WeAreExxonMobil mgmt. and we will continue to lie. Don't care whether our covers are off or not and people know we are lieing.
Irony of the whole PIP game is the person who initially pipped you is now saying that "they" will let you pass the PIP. Well, that means you never deserved to be pipped but they pipped you anyways and now trying to play God by letting you come out of it? Sounds wicked self serving agenda of your bosses. The singing #WeareExxonMobil continues.
OP, everyone knows why. Do you not? Well because #WeAreExxonMobil and this is how we keep #Winning
@vgg+1dttVXPY oh so you are playing along with the #WeAreExxonMobil bandwagon? If so, l then I guess we merely below average and not claimed gold standard, yeah? Thanks for your honesty.
Are remaining XOMers really naive or cunning?
Reading all the BS posted on LI (and some arrogant ba----ds here) by all levels of remaining XOM employees (primarily by those with authority) I am thinking are these XOM posters really naive, ignorant, or have they become cunning because of the PDS process? I mean do they really not know how the company run by mgmt. committe and supported by HR and legal treated our fellow employees during the layoff process? I am pretty sure everyone here now knows atleast one person who got impacted. But I guess you don't care. Have any of you even called any of your "claimed" friends after PIP or layoff or are you following no contact and no engagement orders from HR gang?
For those naive, ignorant, or cunning (you decide which bucket you fall under, some may fall under multiple) suckers that claim not knowing how our peers were treated Iisted the treatment below. How do I know? Because I still keep in touch with my friends that got laid off and listen to them and offer any help I can and no I will not follow HRs no contact and non engaging policy because they don't own me, my feelings, and my relationships. I get paid for work u sell to XOM and don't owe the company anything more.
Based on my conversations with some of my friends who got laid off this is what I had heard from them, by simply listening to them.
- Some shared that their manager/communicator had started ghosting them starting 2 weeks prior to and leading upto the Dec 01 lay off communications.
- All I spoke to said the communications were robotic, scripted, feelingless, and dry.
- Some people's access were revoked 30 minutes after the communication, placed on garden leave, and were still told too help with job transition or risk their severance. Which of the id--ts in HR came up with this process, lay off someone, take away their access, and then threaten then to help with job transition? And we still care about our people asset?
- HR robots couldn't do a simple mail merge for mailing address. Result? Mis-match of people names and addresses resulted in laptop addresses sent to wrong people and addresses. Next? Those that didn't receive laptop boxes as result of this snafu started receiving emails from HR reminding them to surrender their laptops or risk losing SPOSA. A few people said they surrendered their laptops to their last supervisors and still received non receipt emails from HR.
- Several of them said the uncoordinated efforts between HR and COBRA mgmt. company delayed their COBRA packages. Some are still waiting to get their ARPA reimbursements.
- This one is for the famous LI poster, yes you! Most I chatted with confirmed them receiving congratulatory retirement letters after layoff. Now, this is sick, insensitive, hurtful, and inhumane. The HR robots striked again, but still couldn't figure out how to have this snafu avoided.
- For dual career spouses, if one spouse got laid off and other remained employed, the one let go is "banned" from coming on to the campus to drop off, meet remaining spouse on campus. This is really #winning and aligns with #WeAreExxonMobil
- A lot of you know that a lot of those that got pipped didn't deserve it and right after undeserving getting pipped you cut them off too. #WinningAgain
So those of my remaining peers that are naive, ignorant, insensitive, or purely cunning this post if for you. You have now been informed what happened during the lay off and how #WeAreExxonMobil treated our peers. This information is now public, so do not claim you don't were not aware about this information and hiding behind it to continue posting your insensitive and sh---y posts on LI, here, or anywhere else.
I do not want my XOM peers who are brown nosers to take over this post posting all of the negativity and so I kindly request any of those folks that got laid off or pipped out to post their experiences on this thread so non of my remaining peers claim that they didn't know. No more hiding behind "I didn't know".
Must be tough for the guy to prepare to lie to Congress and to employees at the same time.
He must be rehearsing his answers and telling his face not to show contempt.
His coach must have had enough of his tantrums, so cut him some slack.
His unappreciated genius and his ego can only take so much.
Unless… he’s prepared to announce he’s retiring “for personal reasons”, you know to spend more time with his RSUs and cut back on his company jet travel. In a normal company he would have already be fired or had the decency to resign, but in xom - it’s all a charade where we all pretend they are not lying and we pretend we like them. #weareexxonmobil
Curbing attrition rate
After months of conducting an exhaustive study, ExxonMobil has determined how to curb the abnormally high employee attrition rate. It has been decided to place a drape over the Houston campus cube, so no LinkedIn pictures can be taken. Employees will not be able to celebrate each other being freed. ExxonMobil is thankful to the multiple committees for exploring the best possible solutions #WeAreExxonMobil
Is definitely a manager/Supervisor cannot read & understand. #WEAREEXXONMOBIL
#WeAreExxonMobil and we care about our employees so much we will kick them to the curb any time we feel like it
I am sure the lickers are going to post yet again #WeAreExxonMobil. The BTC mgmt. here is rhyming the same story here.
MLRP and it's knock-on effects
I used to love my job, and this company. I used to stick up for Exxon, and tried to use their gas and products exclusively, and promoted their products to anyone that would listen.
In my work groups, I was typically the first one to the office and the last one to leave. I always strived to outshine my peers through sheer hard work. Extra hours, extra projects, taking on initiatives and created extra work for myself. I consistently performed and had a good attitude.
Then I was NI'd last week. What an absolute load of steaming pile of garbage company. They do not care how hard you work. Why? Because they can get 10 of you in India for the price of 1 in America. . Even if half of them suck, they're still ahead.
I now hate this company and am working my exit. heartbreaking, really, Feel like such a fool for ever "believing in ExxonMobil."
This is #winning for ExxonMobil. #WeAreExxonMobil and we fu----g suck. Way to go, d-mbasses.
What's hilarious is that if you goto/mlrp, one of the first sentences is how fair the process is. I literally guffawed out loud when I read that.
Looking forward to my exit, and when I do, guess how much notice they will get.
I want to echo on what@5wtzk+16zEvLP said. Singaporeans are top rate no doubt about it. I'm a long service EM employee from Eu.
The company noticed that after two years of nothing but bad news and watching their peers being laid off both directly and indirectly (PIP), employees stopped caring and made moves to take care of themselves. The company CEO addressed this phenomenon from his 2nd favorite G6 jet. “I cannot believe we have so many selfish people in our ranks! By the way, I found another GAS company we can buy for $34B overvalue! #weareexxonmobil!”
I hope Thai HR gets lots of RSUs with this AWS cut. Single handedly saved the company millions with wage reductions, increased attrition rates in Singapore. Someone other than GC, DW must benefit from this right?
Well done! #weareexxonmobil! #winning
Yup, LinkedIn is a true testimony of these leech cheerleading managers and other employees and the XOM is getting free publicity using peoples misery and fakery just so they can remain sucking up, drink the koolaid and keep jobs. True slavery, this is how we become #WeAreExxonMobil and #Winning. Did you also hear the HR VP, TG saying in her podcast that we are now hiring and that the benefits may return by the end of the year? Is she another parrot or what? Lies continues. #BeyondSickening.
If you don’t pander to Mr Rice
You end up paying the price
Dare you slander Mr Rice
You’ll end up playing your career with dice
Come and say with him #weareexxonmobil
For It’s attractiveness is same as Chernobyl
workplace drama has infighting and toxicity
That’s the charm of his Bengaluru City
Folks who are told they do repetitive tasks
And in their success the manager basks
Don’t you go against Mr Rice
For you will end up paying the price
Let me know if you want more from this u known poet who wrote this sitting by his fireside
You forget to add that we paid 35mil to LOSE.
Sounds like DW’s Midas touch in play again!
The millions of dollars expats cost the company can be worth it if they do something useful, in India they have been a drain on resources, driving up the overheads and hourly costs, Last I heard its almost $60/hr as conpared to $40/hr couple of years back. Of course the salary and wages of Indian employees is barely significant portion of this, its the few expats that increase all the cost.
How can first time supervisors with no uderstanding of how to deal with human beings be sent to India and get paid extra? Of course the people will get frustrated. What is the criteria for selecting them? I’ve heard the manahers aren’t any better either.
No offense here, India is full of smart people, but only if a company and its leaders knows how to run a business.
Reality is your boss has a lot more power over your ranking than in previous system. And because of the design of the system, once you are put in a certain category- no one is gg to revise you upwards, there’s only pressure to go down further to fill 8% NSI.
So if your nose is not very deep in your boss a–, don’t think of anywhere near outstanding because you are not getting it. Doing your job very well, it’s only very good. And they will repeat the message once again- that good is good, so be happy with it. If you have ambitions, then pucker your lips and kiss those buns. My own boss is explicitly doing it in emails and throwing anyone who stands in his way under the bus. Classic #weareexxonmobil behavior - compete to win folks.
Really curious how many senior managers are here on this board. Or are they all really dense and drunk on the #weareexxonmobil kool-aid?
