It’s not hot desking….although no one will have a permanent desk. Everyone up to manager level gets a 1x space. Benefits include further degradation of employees, rapid eviction of PiPs as personal items will be minimal, and rapid herd immunity to colds, Covid, flu attributable to high density seating. Extracting maximum value from employees since 2020!

Wait, you lot do activity there??????
BTC has been doing it since the start. It was a night mare to find vacant seats as people were increasing faster than the seat capacity.
They've been doing We3 at Imperial for years and the employees love it*. Why shouldn't our Canadian colleagues share the love with Houston?

If we have a merger, perhaps they will offer hybrid work. Some kind of “perk” to calm people down. And compromise with whatever company (coughChevroncough) we are merging cultures with. Would explain this hotdesk cr-p.
@OP Have you….tried looking for another job?
Seems like a straightforward solution to your problem.
Taking away employee perks since 2001. Way to go #weareexxonmobil
Awesome. New goal to see how long I can go without talking to my supervisor in we3.
Looking forward to Web3. Harder to keep tabs on us. Easier to knock off.
Activity Based is Orwellian speak for hot desking. Find the ppt and read it, it’s like a treatise in brainwashing and gaslighting
It is quite real….there is a PowerPoint deck making the rounds
Why is it called activity based?
Is this for real? So supervisor and then manager above them has 1X desk?! That is crazy. I am confused how it isn’t hot desking if you don’t have an assigned spot. Will there at least be enough spots for everyone or are they going to assume some percentage of people are not in the office each day leading to people not being able to find a desk?
