Our manager asked how copilot increased our productivity. The 3 Indian dudes said by a whole lot, they’ve been able to get more work out since it was enabled. They failed to say half their sh-t won’t compile, and what does is poorly written. Almost as though copilot wrote it for them. As Trump would say #sad

Cut middle sales management...

How someone who has ZERO impact to the acceleration or growing a sale makes 100's of thousands of dollars a year is shocking! Shareholders should be at Chuck's front door with torches and pitchforks. Every heard of MONEYBALL? Replace RM, Dir and most VP's with a actuarially bot. BO-M saved Cisco 400M/min/year AND increased sales efficiencies. 21st Century sales organization? Oh, I forgot we want to stay in the stone ages as its more comfortable.... #sad #badmgmt #bloat #nocontributionnopay. Its ok we can follow this plane all the way to the site of the crash!

I disagree, everyone who quits for RTO reasons is one less decision for managers to make. Just let give the mandate and then be on cruise control and watch the savings roll in.

Pick some percentage of attrition. Say 3% of attrition, with 35k employees, with an average of of $175 salary and payout of max 6 weeks of service. That makes a cool $21 million. Now imagine it is 3 percent per month for 5 months and you get $100 million without lifting a finger. That doesn’t even take into account 401k and health benefits saving.

Adjust the numbers however you wants. It is a nice low effort savings with almost zero admin overhead.

Let’s the attrition machine churn and make daddy Hock some money!

The blogs and the cry's for attention is getting pathetic.

When you see the blogs this company is throwing on the net.
Just trying and trying to keep themselves and their legacy technology relevant, it's just pathetic.

Never seen the abuse of community loverboys by a company marketing so clear.

You are a gambler if you invested in crypto and you are a loser if you didn’t cash out before that pu-e head stole your cash value. #sad

Easy answer. They are stuck with the East mentality of “where else you going to go?” They will never realize that mentality doesn’t work in the west where MPC isn’t the only game I town. Until they stop being arrogant and treating their customers and EMPLOYEES like dirt, nothing will change. It was a new day when the acquired Andeavor but their old arrogant mentality keeps them from realizing it. #Sad

I left employment at WF - refinanced out of a jumbo mortgage - moved my stock match from 401K in-kind transfer- moved my 800K 401K - moved my cash balance and I highly recommend all my friends avoid WF. That’s how I dealt with their new unfriendly policies towards employees. It used to be a good company. #sad #FCharlie

I had a friend at one of the Blues say they got a 1-2K reward for hanging in there through tough times.

I was like “I got a small mug!” #sad

The 90's thru 2000's under Ed Whitacre when we were still SBC were the best in my opinion.

The only downside for me was the AT&T acquisition. AT&T was dying and on its last leg! We should have let it rot! I understood the branding strategy but they came in and took over - implementing the same pi-s-poor policies that were key contributors to it's own failure. There were many days when I wondered "wait did we buy AT&T or did they buy us?"!

We rebounded big time with the iPhone deal but it was downhill fast after that. After Stephenson took over it was a high speed race to the bottom and with Stankey in charge we're moving twice as fast. AT&T is succeeding at failing. #SAD

Old Music Video by Belk Corporate from 2015 welcoming Lisa to Belk

There is a music video on YouTube that Belk employees made sometime around late 2015 welcoming Lisa Harper to Belk. it’s actually well done and features various stores dancing to a Justin Timberlake song. I watched it and realized that 95% of the corporate level workers and almost all of the store level workers and managers in that video are no longer with Belk. It’s kind of ironic watching it now, they are welcoming Lisa to Belk and she slashed jobs, morale, and the family atmosphere at Belk without mercy. #sad

Oracle became re-do of the 1990s era ROLLUP. Those never went well. They usually unrolled and were left as what they originally started with.

Those who are ignorant of history are doomed to repeat it.

Database company to database company...guess the genius samurai either couldn't rewrite history or just stopped caring for anything except own wellbeing. #SAD

Well, originally down below I wrote:

"Bills incurred after Windstream filed bankruptcy (“post-petition”) get paid within 30 days. They’re ahead of all “pre-petition” (pre-bankruptcy) claims."

That's the way it's supposed to work with the Citibank "debtor-in-possession" financing. Everybody (creditors, judge, etc.) agreed to set this up so the company could get on its feet during bankruptcy.

Sounds like I was wrong as to what's actually going on. #Sad #Counterproductive

There is a May 2012 interview where he talks about "cloud" starting around 8 minutes in. http://allthingsd.com/20120621/larry-ellison-tells-it-like-it-is-the-full-d10-interview-video/

What he says sounds logical and is not wrong. But it is very linear and evolutionary. No one apparently has been able to get him to look at Oracle's business and future outside that mental framework.

I think it is not age, assuming he is healthy without cognitive issues. It is not having people he respects who successfully challenge his thinking. Who question him. Who make him stretch his models beyond his status quo. That is a pitfall of being rich beyond belief, hiring people to be your tennis friends, sailing friends, subordinates...they do not speak truth to your money. They do not stimulate growth. You coast without realizing it.

Oh, Mark! You are breaking my heart. All these years I have worshipped LE as software god and champion has. Now people say Oracle cheated in 2013, they did lose in 2017. You ARE an id#ot and LE thinks you are cool. LE might be outvofctouch? #Sad. Only hope is SC throws you under bus for cloud numbers and eases hero LE into more cosmetic work and infinity.

-2sgp. Like, what, Oracle buy IBM? Well at least IBM knows how to deploy metal into a cloud infrastructure...

The LE longterm vision thing about autonomous systems, deep learning, self-patching/repairing etc. was fine. It was the lack of real technical management capability in the company, investment in r&d, inside competition/cannibalization plus counterproductive incentives that wrecked it...too much attention to cheeseparing and not enough to investment in the technological future, imho. #sad

Hard to see how the quite appealing grand vision can materialize without investment, actual metal investment, in cloud facilities. Not buybacks or blaming/obfuscating about tariffs and exchange rates.

Just #sad. Cruise control with an accounting mentality since 2010 is no way to be a visionary.

What A Disaster

You would think with as much press and PR as this location is getting that "leadership" would have bothered to clean up this sh@thole of a Sears store.

This journalist was NOT impressed. The Sears section looks like every other disgusting Sears store. #Sad

Kmart troll has chewed through his restraints again. Calling his attendants to get his dose of Lithium and Thorazine administered. #Sad

And what a fitting spokesman he is.

AWS, Microsoft, and Google will hire Oracle engineers. Oracle just wants to lay you off.

Funny, Oracle will hire you back for a whole lot more money once you get AWS, Microsoft, and Google on your resume. #SAD

Both of them are above board VPs. They run a great operation in a sh!t company. Great leaders who operate with integrity and honesty. Always called people out, and offered solutions and options. #sad
