9ton - Been there, Done that. I dedicated 30 splendid years at Chevron. I loved all the jobs I had and never regarded it as work. Showed up all the time with enthusiasm. The energy downturn came and the decisions of management put an end to my career. But now at 61, I dedicate my time to retirement and the enjoyment of life to its fullest. Whether it's work or retirement, make the best of it.
@9mtk, Find a job that you love and you'll never work another day in your life!
"You know firsthand", 8gxd? How? Are you one of the posters on this Chevron Layoff board who gas never worked for the company?
Comparing the chevron posts with other majors and/or smaller independents, the number and type of posts reflects negatively on CVX. The available information from these posts is read with a grain of salt but the number of posts and their tone I think are true reflection of company health, employee morale.
:@N86LGRf-2wbb. That is very true and well put. Its a subtle trick of one's own mind.
#sad!
We are bitter, 2pwz. We're pissed. Did it take you long to figure this out?
Sad how folks on here enjoyed the givings a of Chevron when the times were good, in such a short time it's become the worst company. You folks come off as bitter.
Yes, I felt the same way, until a few months went by then I wish I had my job, or any job. thanks for the fake success stories though, if it makes you feel better to lie, go for it!
