With some these cash strapped independent blues plans, you think the board is regretting the Cigna acquisition?
Could have had blue licenses in Minnesota, Michigan and others, probably for far less than 3.5 billion too.

Before joining this place 5 years ago I used to be told that I look 5-10 years younger than my actual age. The other day when I was looking at pictures only 6 months into working here, it was night and day compared to photos pre-ELV. The fear, anxiety and constant chaos of this environment will do it to you. Not to mention more health issues. I hope I can get some of that lightness of spirit back when I leave here.
Retired EE.
Curious, has Mutual disclosed how much the health care premiums will be going up in 2026 and how much in dollars for individual and family plans for retires?
Was part of the Sept 22 impact with effective date Oct 3. Health insurance is extended through the end of the impact month, however FSA cutoff is the last day worked. I scrambled to more a dental procedure from November to mid-Oct only to find out ot won't be eligible for FSA dental coverage since it was not prior to Oct 3. The paperwork provided is confusing at best and no one walks you through it. I am out $1200 of unused FSA because I thought I had til Oct 31. Don't make my mistake.
Layoffs are coming EOY, maybe BOY. Losing 3 out of 6 clients, along with the consistent effort of moving support off shore....
September brought a wave of executive hires, promotions, exits, and layoffs across the healthcare industry, with major names like Medtronic, Amgen, and Kaiser Permanente making leadership changes, while organizations such as Novo Nordisk and Seattle Children’s cut jobs.

This mix of leadership reshuffling and workforce reductions shows a sector in flux, as health systems and life sciences companies balance growth, innovation, and financial pressure.
Pack Health, a Birmingham-based digital health coaching company owned by Quest Diagnostics, is shutting down by the end of 2025 and cutting 98 jobs. The company cited slower-than-expected market adoption and the loss of a major customer as reasons for the closure.
Employees were notified this week, with some departing immediately. Quest said it will provide support to affected staff.
Pack Health was once considered one of Birmingham’s startup success stories, announcing a $5 million headquarters expansion in 2023 that promised 200 new jobs and significant economic impact. Its closure contributes to a rising trend of layoffs in Alabama, with more than 3,200 workers affected by mass layoffs and closures in the state so far this year.
Profit margins above human lives.
Policies written, lives disposed,
They stamp it cold
If you lack compassion you no longer belong in healthcare. For those who wish to make a change and got an order to RTO maybe blast a song off YouTube. The Dusty Show DDD glam version. Have it play over team meetings and for the love of god actually think bigger, this company, system and country is corrupted. Things need to change. Don’t harm anyone or burn any buildings, that shouldn’t even be said. Strike on the day of the supposed layoffs or how about every Thursday if you have enough PTO just take off.
I’ve seen friends and colleagues develop serious health problems because of the pressure here. Stress seems to be the norm and the leadership couldn't care less about balance or wellbeing. Watching people struggle like that makes it hard to stay motivated and makes me think twice about sticking around.
Curious if anyone has heard how our benefits could be changing - I.e holidays, PTO, health benefits, etc.
Our building in NJ has 3 out of 5 floors being demolished, and all of us need to show up every day and breathe the contaminated air, odor, asbestos, dust and hazardous materials.
Why they make us take so many classes to deal with emergencies when they create those themselves.
How come nobody calls the NJ OSHA?
Close down NJ, call us back when all the work is done,
all the ducts, and filters are clean.
The Department of Labor and Workforce Development has released an official WARN Notice filed by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee.

It’s not like Dell is on the rise, or that this job is some badge of honor that will shine on a resume down the road. Sure, the job market is tough and the economy isn’t looking great, maybe even getting worse, but there are always other options. The worst thing we can do is let the company pull us in so deep that we lose perspective. Worrying about this job doesn’t help. It only wears us down.
Any thoughts on Magellan Health getting rid of all Health plans? I heard they will be getting more Public Sector Accounts. How does Magellan Health do layoffs?
You know work life balance it’s called. While working from a stinky unventilated office 5x8
Has anybody heard if health and medical in San Ramon and Houston are going to be part of wave two?
AT&T We Can't Sleep
An open letter to Mr. John Stankey and the leadership of AT&T
Contact: attwecantsleep@gmail.com
March, 2021
To Mr. John Stankey, CEO AT&T
AT&T Willow Tech Center in Redmond[1], Washington is in violation of the City of Redmond noise ordinance chapter 6.36 Noise Standards as verified by a noise impact study by an INCE board certified principal acoustical engineer with Tenor Acoustical Engineering and also by the City of Redmond [2]. AT&T has thus far refused to mitigate the issue after numerous complaints through the city of Redmond, complaints spanning back years. The noise produced by AT&T’s chillers and HVAC units are having a detrimental impact on multiple families' lives and health of both adults and children who are unable to sleep.
The night time limit of 50 decibels is breached every hour of the night, every day of the week. Inside home decibel readings can breach 50 decibels making it impossible to have a proper night of sleep or any kind of normalcy -- this is a form of torture and we are pleading with you to resolve this immediately.
Mr. Stankey, please listen to this live video and audio stream from a residence near the AT&T Willow Tech Center.
