Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

New Jersey should close down

Our building in NJ has 3 out of 5 floors being demolished, and all of us need to show up every day and breathe the contaminated air, odor, asbestos, dust and hazardous materials.
Why they make us take so many classes to deal with emergencies when they create those themselves.

How come nobody calls the NJ OSHA?

Close down NJ, call us back when all the work is done,
all the ducts, and filters are clean.

Not to mention the noise pollution of ba----g, jack hammers and whatever the he-l else is going on. They start at 8:30am like clock work and bang off at 11:00am and pick-up again around 2:00PM. Folks on my calls are always asking, Are you okay? It sounds like they are coming through the ceiling or floorboards over there in MT.

Not even sure why we are there still. Everything will be in Atlanta and Dallas. Stop hiring, start moving.

Same here. They used old call center furniture for our new office space. Which is fine, its a lot nicer than the stuff we had. We're no longer the Island of misfit furniture.

We found out that some of the furniture they are using in the open space came from closed down call centers so even the supposed new space isn't even new. And yet some CSO d-mbsh@t claimed the kitchens were so nice that Martha Stewart would be jealous. Yeah, if she likes cooking in smelly microwave ovens.

They have to do the construction so that after cramming people from the other 4 buildings into the one, they'll come after Bedminster. AT&T exec's can't come up with too many new ideas so will simply use the the model of craming everyone from Redmond into Bothell.

NJ jobs should be moved to family safe Minneapolis.

It’s Middletown. Building A was in disrepair for a long time.

“ How come nobody calls the NJ OSHA?”

Are you completely helpless? Call them yourself.

The drains on the bathroom floors emit odors of death. You must hold your breathe and wipe the tears from your eyes while you sit in the stalls of the 1940’s era bathrooms.

Plenty of paper towel machines though.

I assume this is Building A which is ancient. Between the carpet, the asbestos & the a/c you need a hazmat suit & a respirator mask.
