Schlumberger Layoffs 2026

If the market makes a turn soon, do you think there will be Schlumberger layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

IT layoffs this week

The last 2 days, IT jobs have been cut around US and Houston. Also understand it was global IT cuts. This is why you now have to contact service desk for IT help.

ChampionX

Could ChampionX be axed just like Chevron did with Hess?

MegaDiamond Furlough

May 21st employees at MegaDiamond were told to expect furloughs and possibly layoffs.

Exiting core business

Not sure if anyone else heard but when Olivier visited Midland, he explicitly said that SLB needs to exit the core business marker sooner than later and focus on other areas of growth. I 100% see this happening.

I don't understand

Are people saying there were/are layoffs this week as well? Or am I misunderstanding something?

Utter desolation

The cult of personality, the T-shirts under blazers and missing sock tech wannabies have done nothing to save the inexorable slip to oblivion. But hey, we’ve a culture lounge and a phoney E2E to pretend we care. Morale is minimal, zero. It’s been a... — read more

If there was a way to volunteer I'd be more than happy to do it. Has anybody done this? Did it work?

Be vigilant

Just because you see a slowdown of layoffs or they haven’t hit your facility does not mean they won’t organize plant transfers under different circumstances just to get you to quit! To the office ladies over 50… watch your backs while you’re... — read more

Layoffs on the 17th

The big layoffs start on the 17th and will run to the end of quarter. Any truth to this?

SLB's Exit from the Bit Market?

Is SLB pulling out of the bit market altogether, or are they just scaling back their focus on roller cone bits? Seems like they might be shifting priorities, but curious if anyone has more insight on what's going on there!

Whatever eye rolls

Bullet points Google “SLB is reorganizing its business functions, including security, operational integrity, and global business services.” What else is new. They are always reorganizing due to its poor leadership. I love how they use the word... — read more

Layoff??!

I thought Trump was going save us all with his Liberty Energy CEO

Weekly layoffs

Schlumberger has been doing mini weekly layoffs, guess there new strategy is to keep it as small as possible so people don’t realize. Surprised no one ever brings it up.
