Topics regarding layoffs at BP PLC

Nothing’s gonna change

All the people on here claiming they know about layoffs coming are full of it. They just want to create drama. I have been assured by my manager that this is not a headcount reduction exercise. Seriously relax everyone.

Unfounded rumors

Since people here like to repeat unverified information, what are some of the least believable and least credible rumors you’ve heard about the pending transformation?

Lots of Trolls Here

There seems to be a lot of trolls on here trying to muddy the waters around what is really going on at BP and BPX. Especially, our L48 division. To be clear, this place is toxic. Career progression is limited. There is tons of favoritism. Many... — read more

Mid September

We are hearing about mid September announcement? What should we expect ? Company wide EOI?

Botched non-re-org re-org

KD is a disaster. MA needs to get rid or her before she does too much damage. They’ve been saying for months that we’re not doing a re-org, and now we’re being told to expect major changes in September. People are freaking out and speculating the... — read more

What are your thoughts from today's 2Q Webcast?

What I understood is ACB is suffering. New job role hiring in the US/UK are frozen in lieu of filling and moving them to India. Possible layoff coming in the name of efficiency. What else you derive from the Webcast?

ACB Projection?

Earnings are out this week. What is your guess for the ACB? I’ll go with flat from Q1. 80

Bpx Leaders

You are running us nose first into the ground. What are you doing? I suspect many more will abandon ship very soon. I need to get out of here. Check your attitude, gossip, and mindset. All of us are tired of you.

Thoughts on Today's Technology Webcast?

Wow! Nothing, simply nothing. Just some fluff talk and nothing of a substance. Standard mode of operation, change top leadership and hope for the best, rinse, and repeat.

Bp Bpx Lawsuits

In light of the innapropriate relationships scandals at Bp and Bpx: With all the wrongful promotions, firings, layoffs, ect. will anyone be suing for discrimination?

The legacy of BL

As one of the devoted employees swept aside in the reinvent travesty I hold BL and KD personally accountable. Whilst the package came with a settlement agreement the prejudice and unethical behavior of these individuals and the company now means I... — read more

BP = Exxon 5 year ago

Opinions wanted

This site is obvious place to vent but we should actually be trying to specify what the issue is also. This is the one of the few places we can speak our mind without fear or favor. My view is that the fundamental issue is that we promote the wrong... — read more

Bpx-A Reflection of Our Work Environment

The posts and discussions on this forum are the perfect reflection of our work atmosphere. Toxic, adversarial, competitive instead of cooperative, bullying towards anybody who thinks differently, and downright unpleasant. If you're wondering why Bpx... — read more

Unposted promotions

So in addition to a hiring freeze, I’ve seen a lot of unposted promotions/managed moves in the past month. This definitely doesn’t fit with bp’s established transparent hiring process. I assume they are trying to protect chosen people before the... — read more
