White straight men hold 95% of executive and leadership positions in this country and y’all still blame minorities for your shortcomings? Time to look in the mirror and realize it’s not the colored or g-y people keeping you down, it’s yourself and your own imaginary persecution complex.
Whoever posted this is probably a white, middle-aged American man, native English speaker, born in the richest country in the world, and despite all these advantages he STILL can’t compete with people born in less rich countries, who are probably not native English speakers, who had to work REALLY hard in school so that they could then get accepted into top US schools. People who immigrated here without support systems, had to learn English, and had to then work really hard to graduate with degrees and advanced degrees in STEM subjects. Some of these people even, gasp, managed to get to where they are in spite of having disabilities.
Dude, if you can’t compete, you’re the one who’s a loser. We’ve all had enough of YOUR cr-p. Stop crying and start thinking about the fact that maybe you should have paid attention in math class instead of assuming everything was going to be handed to you on a plate just because you’re a white American dude.
@13k+1jjdgrqfw don’t be offended dude. There are actual targets for veteran hires. Not only that, but there is a BRG designed to help veterans assimilate into the corporate environment. That is DEI. It’s a good thing.
Veterans get hired by helmets to hardhats. They are not hired by DEI. If it is true show me the proof. Snowflake.
Whoever posted this, also posted the exact same message on some other company threads. Clearly a troll.
The reality is bp will always have these programs, but I anticipate the US P&C being more measured and quieter on communications.
I will, however, miss bp’s requests on who everyone has slept with at work and then the other survey to understand how much education my folks had or if I was mildly g-y….followed by my team meetings which I’m ask “how mild is mild boss?”
Military veterans are included in DEI hiring efforts so I guess you MAGAs are happy to sacrifice veteran accessibility as long as it hurts the g-ys and blacks.
If you're an employee and not just some rando stirring stuff up - you'd do well to find one yourself to contribute to. I'm sure HR or P&C or whatever they call themselves now would love nothing more than to do away with BRGs - don't help them.
I find it really hard to believe you couldn't find one that aligns with what you'd like to see change for the better. If you were happy you wouldn't be posting on this website. Non-union employees don't have many other options to collectively push for workplace improvement and help each other across business groups, and occasionally push leadership for answers. Yes, it's disjointed but it's what we've currently got. You see the output of events and webinars and I can see why you'd write it off if those specifically don't interest you. What you don't see is employees supporting each other and developing some extra skills outside their normal job scope.
robby Starbuck looks like an absolute FUD
I hope you realize that DEI also includes military veterans. But then again your intolerance prob only targets other minority groups.
Oh look, another angry, mediocre white man.
Did big bp hurt your feelings?
