While I agree BPX does bring in cash flow for bp, I don’t see that as a guarantee that the Denver office will remain. This is also not coming from the other person that constantly posts that idea. If you have a financial mentality the Denver office is a waste.

@ef+1jhreq9rp I've heard Siberia is a great place to chill out. MA could try there. Take GC and the rest of the LT with him for the break.

One of the only businesses that work correctly in bp is BPX, so the Denver staff and office are staying in place. GOM and BPX are churning money to help save this company, so be pi---d or jealous all you want but the proof is in the production report, not in your emotions.

Is bp really in this much financial ruin or does corporate greed got them wanting to reward shareholders at the expense of workers? We're seeing outsourcing as a trend of lately, even for highly profitable company. If this trend continues, there's going to be no middle class jobs left in the USA. Write to your congressman and djt. The economy will su-k if the middle class is erased and income disparity widened. Somebody has got to do something while it's happenening before it worsens beyond repair.

The idea that MA will continue to steer the company along the pathway created by Looney is a sign to the rest of the workforce. You need to bail. I never believed Looney's claims that BP could become net zero and still compete with the likes of Shell and ExxonMobil. I knew, it was a mistake and it would come with a sacrifice of whatever morale remained with BP. I've learned in my 26+ years with this company that when you can't meet the objectives of the LT, it always comes at the cost of the workforce. There's never been an exception.

Can we outsource the CEO function to an overseas/remote position? Problem solved.

I wonder what the chances are of MA's partner being made redundant? Nil? Between the two of them, I hate to think how much money goes into their household each year.

According to media sources, MA is saying that the company is going to stick with BL's plan to turn the company into an 'integrated' energy company. This is the problem with the LT. It was put together by BL and they are the architects of the 'plan'.

@as+1jhreq9rp You are absolutely correct in all you say. The sad thing about the likes of GC is that, like BL and DL, someone else takes them on in a highly paid position, and they just carry on with their privileged lives. The best thing that could have happened when BL got booted, would have been to appoint an outsider who would have no loyalty to any of BL's LT. The Board could have made it worth Gilvary's time to come back. BL's time as CEO is going to effect this company for years to come. It doesn't say much for the quality of the Board that they tolerate the current LT.

I told you guys last September.

Believe me yet?

Wait until the Denver shutdown. It's going to be a large hair cut.

If you are in Houston do not move to Denver.

GC is the weakest link. Let's vote her out. MA sends out email communicating the layoff numbers but he doesn't have the gumption to say it to our faces in a townhall. Okay, he is recovering from surgery but had had time to write an email. He could have had his side-kick CEO, Kate do the dirty work. If she is stepping up as CEO then the news should have been communicated in townhall setting so Q&A can be answered.

The Safety call was useless and unmotivating. GB was head of S&OR and you would think they can come up with a more impactful townhall instead of bringing someone to talk about TA. The lady speaking was eloquent and did a great job but their risks don't connect with the rest of the organization.

They could save these jobs by ditching the LT, particularly GC, its most pointless member. Any su---r can save costs by ditching large numbers of workforce. You don't need to have been to Harvard or Yale to figure that out. At what point will the LT take responsibility for the mess this company is in?

That’s 4,700 employees impacted “by changes announced to date”. He also said it will be a “multi-year programme”. We can expect more.
