I’m guessing not enough people to meet the promised/required experience and a decimated talent pipeline that cannot step in to cover any gaps left. You would have thought the state of the organisation would be well understood before signing any deals..
They have been trawling around looking for people to fill the expat roles.

Your sources are correct grasshopper! There was a meeting recently where it was mentioned that they had no (zero) people apply for some of the roles that are posted because of the working hours.
There is also rumor that the few “expat” roles that are being offered, no one from the US or UK is applying for those either.
Started? Hundreds were notified they were laid off in Oct... Dec.30th was first round to go, then April and July1st depending on retraining your India replacement. Heard its been hard to find good replacements in Pune since they need to work nighttime US hours. They arent getting the best candidates.
March 31st will be the first round to exit
From my experience, it seems that the date would be right before end of 1Q. They want to be sure to confine their losses to a particular quarter so it would be cleaner to report. Unless their policies have changed, I think bp will be quite transparent about timing. Hang in there. My heart goes out to you.
First exits in August. The whole company depressed for the next 8 months at least. What a mess

My brother in Christ, it has already started. The question is when will it end.
When what starts?
