How does a low iq no talent product engineer from an electronics company that does opamp as there main product becomes a director and then keeps hiring all his kinds with bloated salary?
Is there no checks and balances in this company at all?

Layoffs never affect sr.managers and above :)
And I dont understand how some paper-pushing PMs with no knowledge of engg become directors of engg teams.
All signs of the bubble we are in!
One of the biggest signs is binge-hiring directors and sr.directors from Intel who were all given the title at Intel for appeasement and to prevent them from leaving.

Same for AN - specially the server BU
It’s not just opamp . There’s deadwood that floated in from our competitor, here to do damage and collect a paycheck for a few years before they retire. And the old gang that holds on for dear life… not a single competent manager/director/vp in the Markham office
Most of the new hired managers and directors and just worthless mo--ns, know of one such director got promotion during Covid binge hiring - he brought in his bffs and now all he does is party and social gatherings with his bffs almost every night, day of the week and every weekend - at the same time talks trash about the company any chance they get.
