I'm starting to regret not being laid off

I was so scared before the last round of layoffs but now I realize I should have been petrified of what would come after. Somebody has to do the work left behind by those who were cut and in so many cases that somebody is me. I'm tired all the time... — read more

Viasat shutting down critical LinkedIn account

After I made a few critical comments on Viasat posts, they apparently made LinkedIn suspend my (secondary) account. I only used public information such as leadership compensation and articles about the failed satellites. So much for free speech!

How long does it take to receive severance pay

Just wondering how long generally employee wait until they get severance pay? Is it same for all or it's based on individual case? Are they consider about tax benefits for paying on certain date?

“At first I was depressed”

These were the words of Dankberg sympathizing with employees after they announced publicly VS3 F1 Americas bricked out in space. Words should be now “I am depressed” that I have to fire loyal tenured engineers to while keeping irrelevant execs... — read more

Laid off Whistleblower?

for those that got laid off... do you feel like there could have been some "sweeping whistleblowers under the rug"? I used to work in Quality Assurance and wondered if that was why I was let go? Management seemed interested in my findings at the... — read more

Did managers really not know who will be laid off?

I was told that managers didn't not know who will be laid off and were surprised but I am not sure if that is only the typical B$ they tell you. My sl--eball manager didn't even bother to call me or send an email/message after I got let go.

Earnings better than expected

"Fellow Shareholders, Our performance for Q2 FY2024 was robust, marked by significant double-digit year-over-year growth in both core revenue and Adjusted EBITDA. We're pleased to report solid progress during Q2 FY2024. We exited the quarter with a... — read more

Race/gender discrimination in recent Viasat layoffs

Admittedly, my sample size is small, but I've only heard of white males being laid off. It would be very interesting to hear the numbers before/after the layoff. Perhaps the company used the layoff as a way to improve DEI metrics?

More Cuts Coming

Have been directed by my management to creatively look at ways to cut costs and hinted that budget will be slowly reduced over the next few months. Has anyone else been directed to "work with less" & "get creative"? Seems like Mark D will force more... — read more

100% Chance Of RIF in April

Absolutely 100 percent chance that Viasat lays off more employees to make shareholders happy. Daddy D said it himself, layoffs = bad management. Sounds like a promise to me in light of the current regime.

Dump the stock

Well at least they made the termination date in the US Nov. 17th so that employees can still get their vesting stock. The problem is that the stock price is now a fraction of what it was when it was granted. What to do? Hold or dump? I doubt Viasat... — read more

The positive side!

I'm so damn happy at the prospect of a new job with new problems, new people, and new opportunities! I was getting burned out on all the processes at Viasat, and the same stuff over and over again. If I can find a new opportunity I'm going to be a... — read more

Be ready

They ambush you and will not let you even look in your office or computer. Keep home copies of generic non proprietary training materials and professional contacts.

Everything went to sh*t since GURU was hired....

Why was GURU hired? He has left a trail of destruction and incompetence on all the previous companies he has worked at. Now, in the name of 'diversity' the clown comes in and destroys Viasat.

Good Riddance!

Things are good now and the stock is BOOMING!!!! We got rid of the excess weight and the most emotionally unstable people. Look at this website and how childish they are. P&C chose the right people to cut! GLORY TO VIASAT!!!!

More layoffs coming

Assuming they're over for now, expect another round of layoffs before the new fiscal year, April 2024. Viasat isn't going to be making money to support its employees for a long time after their failed satellite launch and abomination of an... — read more

How did I perform? Was anyone impressed? I think I managed to talk for 20 minutes without saying anything. Think Mark was impressed? Will I get a payrise?

Viasat su-ks but stop glorifying ping

Most people don't need low ping. Gamers, day traders, and Elon worshippers, sure, but everyone else is streaming video and on social media. Viasat su-ks. Bandwidth doesn't.
