I keep hearing some grumblings about layoffs coming up again! Sure hope it dodges Ops this time…not likely. Word on street before June 360’s happen!

If they layoff at least 50 in California it’s 60 days off with pay per the WARN act. Just in time for the summer. There are other jobs out there. Might be a little bit of a pay cut.

Don’t listen all the noise from former employees or rival companies that just want to bring the morale down. Viasat didn’t wish for all our parties to be laid off, unfortunately that was the result Viasat had to do it in an effort to reduce costs and to restructure Viasat’s business model. However Viasat still treated them with the respect and dignity they deserve, plus the company knows that they can count on our support in doing the same, so don’t listen to all those Trolls!
Viasat will be back on top once more! No matter what happens, keep getting back up. For every time you get back up, the fall makes you stronger and thrusts you to a new level. Whatever you might be facing. In the end, what matters is how quickly you get back up and take your power back

Totally agree, get rid of the wfh model, it obviously has been hindered to Viasat,
Prior to it, Viasat was on top…. Now look at us
Much of lazy engineers even before wfh

Easiest way to cut people is have everyone RTO, if they say no then term their @$$es! Guaranteed you’ll get alot of people to refuse….. and do you really need to give them a severance package for a termination? Easy savings right there lol

There is a reason they pushed 360's out, and it's not just to sync with Inmarsat. Cash crunch and they needed to buy time to see how the market reacts and if they can get their ducks in a row. Good news on Satellite getting SOME yield, but not enough to sustain so I would assume some cuts coming.

As expected, they actually did layoff some heads right ahead of the April 1 fiscal year start. Some recent missing names both on both sides of the pond. You (all) should expect it to be a continuous grind of layoffs to tune the quarterly results. Remember, you are the problem, not their strategy nor them missing notable market disruptions. It's you.

It's not that bad. You get a severance check. You get 8 weeks of paid vacation in CA. Then you can get a job someplace where they value your contribution. The only down side is starting over with vacation accumulation. Biggest bonus I ever got was the severance check.

Thank God! Viasat needs another RIF to get rid of the the “work from home” peps
The more we have on-site = increase of productivity. ViaSat has been underwhelming cause these wfh troopers waste 80% their time until a deadline is approaching, then they crash and burn. They barely make the deadline and the product is poor.
