800 jobs were cut which will allow the company to save $100 million per year. That's an average of $125,000 per employee including benefits. Without benefits, the average salary would be about $100,000. That's not a very high number at all.

I read in another thread that the top manager of each org unit was given a $$$ budget that they needed to reduce down to. And it was at their discretion on what positions to eliminate in order to achieve that.
