Well at least they made the termination date in the US Nov. 17th so that employees can still get their vesting stock.
The problem is that the stock price is now a fraction of what it was when it was granted.
What to do?
Hold or dump? I doubt Viasat stock will ever get back to where it was just 6 months ago ($47) or a year ago ($67). Now it is at $17 and the chances of it doubling or quadrupling are zero.
Too bad for RIF'd employees who could really use the money to pay their bills.

Looks like Keven Lippert can't wait to dump his $120k worth of RSUs. He just got them.

IMO there's a little upside from here, but it won't last.
Stock price dropped 80% over the past 5 years. It is not just the two satellite failures but a failed business strategy and vision betting on GEO when LEO is steadily increasing in marketshare with aviation, maritime and transportation.
Sell. Buy Apple or Amazon with the money.
What about Government?
The problem with GS is a lot of their profits have been siphoned off to fund VS3s. GS's technology is failing behind due to the lack IRaD funding. For years, we where told once VS3 launches, the money is going to come back to fund innovation but now, that seems highly unlikely.
Would be good to hear from someone with strategic insights at Viasat, if such a person exists :)
Which segments will be profitable for GEO in the coming years? Fixed Broadband is going to die due to Starlink. What about Government and Mobility; does GEO have a future in those segments? If not, how does Viasat's downward slide ever end?
The execs get 100% cash bonuses so it’s still pretty sweet for them even when they can’t deliver.
It’s never been a keeper.
It has dropped so low that I would keep it. Outright bankruptcy is highly unlikely.
the bump the stock got from the RIF is all but gone already lmao
I have a feeling the stock will be in single digits next year.
I'll bet you a beer it happens this year.
