Lies and Hypocrisy

How many read the article on Connect the other day about mental health, and how much the company cares about us? Too little and too late.

What would you do as CEO?

By now it's no surprise that Wayne's USAA is a sh-t-show. Employee morale has never been lower, thousands have been laid off, the company is on its way to two losses back to back after being profitable for a century, and members are becoming... — read more

We hire the best of the best

Apparently in one of the other campuses a trainee snapped and sent a distasteful email to the whole class saying mean things about them all then quit. While also hiring someone with known identity fraud charges. Hmm

USAA is the worst

We're pushed to our limits and we're working ourselves to exhaustion day in, day out, and for what? So that we can have the luxury of worrying about our jobs every day? So that we can expect not to get a raise no matter how hard we work? This is the... — read more

The worst days of USAA

I have been with USAA now for 21 years, this is the worst thing to happen in our history. Wayne, in my 21 years having see many CEOs come and go has been the worst leader to. Not employee centric at all. Bonus structure under his leadership is... — read more

Simple RTO Solution

Tie the yearly bonus to time spent in the office. Easy and simple. If you are local to a primary office and don't want to commute, that is ok but you aren't eligible for the yearly bonus. This would make it fair as well with the number of permanent... — read more

Peace vs. Impact

Did they want peace...or for their decision to matter and have an impact. No one makes that decision, in that way, without wanting attention to it. A lone call for help, if perhaps to save others, from a fastly sinking ship. Say his name. Invoke... — read more

Hiding the Incident

HR is joining calls to tell people not to do internet searches so it doesn’t draw attention. Really? They should be addressing the problem that caused it and not hide it.

A once beautiful culture

General Robles used to ensure the employees were well cared for, which ultimately ensured the members were well cared for. Missing the days of Gen. Robles and Gen. Lyles.

Toxicity Hindsight

Saturday’s su----e just further illustrates how such a toxic daily environment affects people who are at the end of their rope. For that employee to feel like there was no hope outside of USAA, just drives home what a mentally crazy environment USAA... — read more

We're losing too many people and nobody seems to care

We have to take on added responsibilities and duties constantly because so many were either laid off or decided to walk away to get out of this mess (I envy them, I've been trying to do the same thing for nearly a year). This is not sustainable, but... — read more

rest in peace brother

Bank Risk Leaders Wasting $$$$

Why do we have bank risk leaders flying to Phoenix for a week in September? Why are the spending an entire day at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. Why are we wasting members money? Why are we saying one thing and doing another? Which is it? Why all... — read more

Fired while employee match pending

Anyone have info on what happens if you get fired while your matching funds are pending for a charity donation? I've already put in the donation with a credit card (not funded by payroll) and USAA serves says the donations take 30-60 days to... — read more

Eagle Express Connect Page

Thinking it’s in poor taste to promote a new life insurance product in the wake of the tragedy that happened this weekend. Yes life insurance is a wonderful product and a hard conversation, but timing couldn’t be worse.

This is getting ridiculous

How are we supposed to maintain a positive work environment with layoffs being omnipresent? How are we supposed to focus on our work and remain productive when we have to worry about having a job every minute of every waking day? This leadership... — read more

Wayne, Board: Things ARE NOT OKAY.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but we need to hault all charity, outreach, etc. for the rest of the year. We have some internal house keeping and introspection to do. “Face the Fight”?? Employees have “Face the CEO” Things are not okay.

USAA Employees Have Been Pampered

It's go on for too long. Glad to see some belt-tightening going on at this company. Mayne there is chance that Wayne can save this company from it's employees.
