Boycott Holiday Party

Who doesn’t want to waste their time fighting the crowd, hassle with traffic and parking, eat subpar food, and enjoy mediocre entertainment?!

I'm not boycotting the party. I just don't go. I went the year Journey played, but that experience was so awful I swore I'd never attend again. My wife is disabled, so we were able to skip to the front of the line, but so many of my friends and colleagues were unnecessarily caught in a single point of entry for hours and many completely missed the show. Who the fu-k developed that plan? The fact that no one lost their job over that clusterfu-k tells you everything you need to know about accountability for job performance at USAA.

What does you deciding not to attend the USAA party have to do with layoffs?

If you’re going to “organize” something, pick something that will help your paycheck, benefits, and job security. That would get some attention and respect. This isn’t it and your handlers will be thrilled to cut more of the budgetary allocation to an employee party.

Because they are incredibly selfish and dense. Who cares whether you attend the USAA party. How stupid can you be to continually post about USAA parties and bonuses on a site for people who have lost their jobs, income and insurance. What a bunch of empty-headed mo--ns! Look in the mirror and get a clue as to why USAA has declined.

Why are you posting about the USAA Holiday Party on a site for people who have lost their jobs? The entitlement here is unreal.

It's about the coworkers you get along with. Plus with nearly half my site still being full remote (I am not remote) despite the mandates to return to office, it's one of the few times to see some of the EMGs and other folks that rarely if ever come to the office. There are benefits in seeing whom those people network with.

USAA is a very sad and sordid organization. Giddy twits eager to perch on Wayne's lap for a holiday selfie, that says it all.

I'm skipping this year, even with the wine and beer being offered. Just don't feel like going to a place where Wayne and his minions will bask in the phoniness of how great they are.

Oh yeah, you'll get the rubes and doofuses that will want a selfie with the Big Peacock. As for me, I'd rather sit in the backyard on a mound of angry fire ants while slowly pulling out my toenails with vise grips. Then I'll ease that pain with a ballpeen hammer n each toe. So you can take that as a "no, I'm not going" answer.
