Store is in denial??

My managers are saying it's not going to happen? We are just making a new division and no one is losing jobs? Meanwhile everyone is getting emails of Kroger changing how things are run? We were supposed to have a huddle but everyone says it's just... — read more

This was not handled well!

Was there really no better way to handle this? People receiving calls and then having to wait for hours for the meeting full well knowing that was it? I hope this was unique to my location because if it's company-wide, Kroger management is crueler... — read more

I Worked at Kroger for 11 Years

I worked at Kroger for 11 years (17 months as a store Co-manager). For many years, while I worked as an office helper/ACSM on the Front End (a member of the UFCW union), I enjoyed my job at Kroger very much; I loved my store and my colleagues. ... — read more

Regarding the meetings....

All the managers called for a meeting today, were let go. Most of us never received a call at all, up to this point. DMs say they are going to meet with all of us, yet everyone called has been laid off.

Kroger laying off Roundy's employees in Milwaukee

I have firsthand knowledge that Kroger is dramatically (and quietly) cutting Roundy's corporate staff in Milwaukee. They're letting folks go 6-10 at a time every other week to stay under the radar of the state and the press. A clause in the severance... — read more

Advertise your customer service

You know, with Walmart basically trying to get rid of cashiers, Kroger should advertise the fact that they still have actual people to help the customer check out.
