What's that all about? Does that mean if somebody has a meeting scheduled it doesn't have to be layoff-related?

My store manager was moved to another location. Best manager we've had. They don't care about anything. It's sad. Now we have terrible managers.
"My manager was let go. Over 35 years with the company. Our store is a high performing store. Making money and all the numbers. A lot of management being let go have been with the company 25+ years and are over 40 years of age. Everyone loves my manager. Employees and customers a like. Very friendly hard working person. We are devastated by the news. It’s just not fair or right." J
Just when you think you have found a trend.. So - I know lesser performers who are older then 40 who were NOT let go..(I guess some of it has to do with the decision makers.. and some are not very good, bias or something..) Or, they don't like those long term managers with those large salaries..? And if you reduce the salary it's probably not a good message to send day in and out to other workers/managers..

My understanding is that they’re keeping the top performers. The trend seems like a lot of the low performers are being let go this week. Some of my ASM’s are either getting reassigned and then some don’t know what their fate is yet. My store was lucky to keep its store manager. Good luck everyone going to meetings! My thoughts are with you.
And some are not being moved at all.
Great news, thanks!
Yes, not everyone who has a meeting is being fired. Some are being moved to other locations.
