Can anyone explain why final line mechanics are a pay grade higher than structural mechanics? I have asked upper management and never really recieved a clear answer. Their answer is always "that's a good question, we're going to look into that".
New policies
30 minutes for lunch and you have to clock in and out for it. No more rolling over your personal or vacation time to the following year. If you take off a day during the week (using your time) you will still have to work a full 40 hours before you... — read more
Eliminating 4x10 work week say it ain’t so?
Maybe it’s tine for the engineers to consider joining a union and see how that plays out. Can’t start the next model/revenue generator without the engineering people.
Mark Burns: "We're better when together"
All employees back in office full-time Oct. 1, 2024. If this was the plan all along -- what was the point of signing the Remote Hybrid Agreement in June 2024?
No more hybrid schedules
How does that make yall feel? (Honestly, su-ks for our family. Co workers are great, but sometimes I need time alone to focus on my work.)
Retention
Can’t have recruitment without retention.
Upcoming Layoff?
Saw on People Central on the homepage that the Reduction In Force protocol was edited/updated 2 days ago. Just a coincidence or sign of bad things to come?
Bonus
Has anyone heard anything about our mid year bonus?
Mark Burns Retiring, Sales, Marketing, HR VPs being let go
Rumor has it. Thoughts?
Unionize
When I started at Gulfstream. One of the old timers told me that Gulfstream tries to make things better for everyone to stave off the chance of a Union being formed. Seems to me that a company that is purposefully depressing their wages, offering... — read more
Positive change for IT?
If rumors are accurate, SB is retiring - there may actually be a knowledgeable and effective leader in the wings. The culture and morale are terrible so maybe it will get better. It’s exhausting walking on eggshells every day.
Contract Raise Process
So I got a call from my shop today after another year of being the top performer in my group. Gulfstream awarded me a whopping 2.1% in a year when inflation was over 8%. I get back to the office and my lead calls me in for a conference and offers me... — read more
The All Hands is contrived garbage
AA if you're reading this stop asking stupid softball questions and let MB know his protracted corpspeak answers are insultingly useless. You need to take live questions, not cherry pick the ones you want you corporate ****.
Pay disadvantages
Funny how building Y gets 10% to do their job, but building X gets nothing, and hear they’ve pulled money from the merit/promotional budgets.
Furlough
Starting to hear rumors of possible furloughs at Savannah facilities.
Gulfstream military friendly is a sick joke!
This place is far from military friendly and is closer to being military hostile. I have seen numerous "reasonable accommodation" requests from vets not taken seriously and actually just brought increased scrutiny to those requesting. Quite... — read more

Zero G700 Deliveries in ‘23?

Bonus check not coming in Dec?
I hear rumbling through completions that the end of the year bonus might be pushed back to its original march date? Is that true or?

New 3 question EPR methodology
Anyone have insights or thoughts on why our overlords have modified the EPR format? Question 2 asks employees to volunteer areas where performance isn't what it should be or needs improvement. Seriously.
Rate slow down
I've heard that the rate is slowing down at Savannah facilities. Any news or rumors of layoffs?
Another Glint survey.
I'm tired of these asinine surveys that don't ask relevant questions to why the workforce is upset. Pay needs a significant increase, not 3%, but 30%. Cost of living in every area of Savannah has gone up significantly. They have depressed pay to... — read more
