Understand that the company is having significant certification delays and issues with the G700. This has been an issue and it seems to continue with no end in sight. Ask anyone - authorities in Europe/France, US or others. That’s why entry into service promise has passed and keeps moving to the right. What impact will this have on jobs and earnings? Worries me and it should others! Trying to keep it under wraps but that doesn’t make it go away!

- the company grandfathered in a 30-year-old Grumman design for decades, and they’ve rightly earned the distrust of the FAA.
- the way the company has blatantly copied Boeing and Lockheed material and process specifications should raise a red flag to anyone who has reviewed those documents and compare them to other manufacturers
- the company has a plethora of unqualified certification people. Boeing has their own pool of unqualified certification people so good luck trying to find anyone experienced in the industry who’s not already employed who is willing to go to work for Gulfstream
- decades of understaffed certification people who feel unappreciated and don’t have experience with the latest FAA certification requirements will be the company’s undoing. You simply can’t paper whip many of the new certification requirements or grandfather them in you actually have to do real testing that the company tries to avoid spending money on
- there’s an industry wide shortage of people in certification due to the massive hiring by Boeing due to their own certification issues with the 737 max. Not to mention the FAA has been on its own hiring binge to bring extra scrutiny to Boeing on their own certification issues. This is worst time to be looking for certification, people to help with a new certification effort.
- No one is interested in working for a company that is notorious for laying off after a new airplane is launched and completed. Raise the contract rates to whatever you lack they’re not coming.

A significant portion of those delays can be chalked up to the Engineering function which kept making excuse after excuse why they couldn’t meet the internal dates.
The FAA should never trust greedy slimy GAC, they will do anything to push an aircraft out the door so they can get a check.
As for the supply chain issues I think vendors are having the same issues everyone else is having. They cannot find or keep people that are willing to do a job and do it right when said employees do show up.
The FAA does not trust Gulfstream, for good reason. As they look deeper they will find more reasons not to trust because of half a$$ cert tests driven entirely dates, and greed. Senior managers and up have to get the bonus $$
The supply chain issue is much worse than is being told. See pratt & Whitney as example. All of the a/c have engines now?
Supply Chain issues will continue to obscure internal company problems.
