Can’t be to confident that Mex won’t unionize once they get a bigger piece of the Gulfstream pie.

Gulfstream, long before GD came in had a union division in Oklahoma.
The union started to throw its weight around and they sent that work to Mex and shut that division down.
The leadership in Sav would have no qualms about flying a plane in from Mex and putting a Gulfstream sticker on it in Sav. IAI 2.0
If Gulfstream unionized and you want to stay with the company brush up on your spanish

The Boeing union/members proposed a 40%/4 year which was rejected and Boeing returned 25/4. The union leadership encouraged said deal however 94% members rejected and 96% recommended a strike. I’d guess before end of week there will be an agreement somewhere in the high 30s/4. The anti union fans will someone pretend this is terrible for production workers.

I wonder what it would take to get a decent pay increase from Gulfstream. Would a strike do it? What percent of shop floor employees from building X do you think would actually make a difference? A whole department? 25% of the shop floor mechanics? 50%? If enough of us step up at the same time maybe we could actually make something happen.

I guess that recent contract for the machinists union wasn’t very good? 25% over 4 years with 11% year 1, which will average 33% with the addition of seniority increases, what’s bad about that? Additional time off in the form of a floating holiday, what’s bad about that? And then another potential 4k in 401k contributions, what’s bad about that? Keep complaining and you will keep getting nothing but what AA says is good for you. Unions can be bad or they can be good. You can decide, but you have to decide not just complain.

Don’t forget to “get engaged” and complete your glint survey

I’m still surprised we are what appears to be the only big aero manufacturer not with a union. Everyone saying don’t do it…. At this point how much worse can a union be; compared to how GAC is treating us now. I’m also team eye for an eye; you keep making my life worse and more difficult and I’ll return the favor.

This is so d-mb There is NOTHING that a union will do for you. Why in the he-l would you want to turn over your rights to a third party that is only interested in taking your money? Good lord. Get educated

Boeing 25% increase in pay over 4 years or they will strike.

Gulfstream, here is another tshirt, a glint survey, and 3% pay increase.

I've worked as a union member at "an airplane company". They are in bed with the company. Don't have the wool pulled over your eyes. Save all you can and then split.
