No job security unless you are a behind-kisser
It used to be that doing your job well would mean job security. Now, it's knowing the right behinds to kiss. And we're wondering why the company is failing.
RTO TBC
For those that thought the RTO on remote sales had gone away, it hasn't. They're releasing an email soon with an adjustment period, which is generous. Non-US you will get one too, but due to local laws being different, it will mean you will... — read more
Nepotism is for real
Does nepotism just undermine meritocracy or do you see a bigger problem with what it does.. particularly in states side HQ1 & HQ2
The calm before the storm
There is a calm just now; the calm before the storm. Usually we have the calm before the storm; on this occasion we have had the storm before calm. How many are intently waiting for the VSP.? Give a like if you are.. or drop a comment..
Select Account Managers SAM's.
Any opinions on the current state of this organization. I know there have been layoffs in this group. I don't understand the value of SAM's given what's going on with Dell.
High contact, I miss you
Anyone heard from our RP's high contact. Need something for the weekend, asking for a friend
Is this how things work?
As someone who joined dell as a first job, I was quite puzzled by the way things worked. A lot of work is done manually, hard coded excel files, slides with walls of font size 8 texts and numbers, wrong data presented, “excel database”, screenshot... — read more
Is leadership up to anything these days but more layoffs?
I don’t see any ideas brewing. We all are in the waiting room for layoffs or a chance at a voluntary package.
Next round is brewing
Many execs are retiring and the clean up continues.. digital teams are impacted across regions and this only indicates a big churn in the next fiscal year.. leave comments to add what you’re seeing in your respective regions

Office Buzz
Is anyone else getting tired of the fake happiness and inforced fun in the office lately? Its painful enough as it is but this is just humiliating. Senior managment dont even see us as grown adults. The return to office is sh-t and we hate it. Staff... — read more
Voluntary Redundancies
Has anyone heard anything about the possibility of this. It happened in France I believe. We are all just waiting to be told we are no longer needed. I never thought I would take voluntary redundancy but if I am to be layer off eventually I would... — read more
Idea for back to remote working
so if people complain that they're being triggered by office talk about the election results and they feel the office is a threatening environment, they probably could get remote again. Seems like companies would fall for this tactic.
Dell is like working at a nursing home
All our upper management are all old white men who don’t know how to change or can’t accept change. It’s not a technology company at all and if they don’t change soon it will go out of business.
Broken management system
Dell's a mess, plain and simple. Insecure managers, rewarded for groveling, end up walking all over the more skilled and productive employees. There's no oversight, and incompetence is often celebrated. The company's leadership seems totally out of... — read more
Another week of this slog ahead
Working for two people while waiting to be laid off. I’m hoping beyond hope something else will pop up soon. Can’t wait to see Dell and its stupid ways in the rearview mirror.
What is happening with remotes?
Transport from home to the office is more than an hour which is remote approved. Will that change this year for inside sales?
Is Dell quitting Gen X and millennials?
I’m seeing lots of information saying companies are quitting Gen X and millennials.
Is it possible for a lowly ISR/TSR I get a call with michael dell?
i have some criticisms
No wonder we're not improving
Dell feels like a never-ending cycle of poor decisions nobody is interested in fixing, just patching up. That's not a proper business strategy, that's a "let me get mine however I can, and I don't care what's going to happen to any of you once I'm... — read more

I’m beginning to think that crippling teams is another attrition tactics
I can’t see any other explanation for emptying out teams while workload remains unchanged. Nobody will carry that weight, especially while facing a very real possibility that they will be laid off too. What’s left of my team is close to imploding... — read more

So layoffs all the time?
Have they ever stopped to think how that would affect the company? Results, productivity, morale? If there are more massive layoffs coming over the next two years, conducted in the same manner as this wave, we would be pretty much done. There’s no... — read more

Before the RTO you could be working back and see many people lit up on teams and ping them, even till late at night. Now the lights are all dark and no one is responding. I hope that can be measured.
