what happens if stockholders, like myself, think the buyout price is too low? It seems to me that Bobby C went ahead and got himself a price that would allow him to make money and just get rid of Citrix as easily as possible. what percentage of... — read more
If you're still here in six months, it'll be your own fault
It's not easy to leave. I've been looking and what's easily available comes with a major pay cut, so I can understand being reluctant to take an offer like that. But after four months of determined searching, I finally received two good offers, one... — read more

Buyout news is not good
Why are Citrix employees saying this is great news? They were bought by an equity firm and are going private… how is this good? No real company would buy Citrix so you’re stuck with an equity firm. This is nothing to be proud of. It is only going... — read more
message to the ELT
We all know ELT members do read this message board, and this is a message for them. The disastrous GEM and 200% PRSUs were the last nails in the coffin. We all know and accept executives make tons of money, millions. That's fine; that's how the... — read more
Buyout price (or steal)
Looking at the earnings release, it's interesting that the non-GAAP result for 2021 is 87% of the 2020 numbers. The day the 2020 earnings was released, the stock was trading around $133. 87% of $133 is ~$116, not $104.
Let the brain drain continue
I don’t know what those at the top think about it, but my opinion is that this company could be in big trouble in the very near future. However, they don't seem to care at all? There are still many talented and good employees here, but most of them... — read more

Citrix to be Acquired by Affiliates of Vista Equity Partners and Evergreen Coast Capital for $16.5 Billion
It's official. I suspected this would be the outcome since the layoff on Nov 15. It was the only circumstance in which it made sense to lay off the people they did. https://www.citrix.com/news/announcements/jan-2022/takeprivate.html
I worked so hard to get where I am and now I'm not sure it was worth it

So glad I negotiated my way out of not working there
Don't let the title fool you. I was extremely tempted at taking the job. It came down to the reality of the IT world, being a white male in 50s. Only way I was going to take the job was a guaranteed 10 years of work. They wouldn't do it but kept... — read more
Stop overreacting
Do people who say there'll be 60% or 70% cuts ever think before typing? Cuts that large would make it impossible to do anything. It would decimate profit, which, you'd assume, is why we're being bought. To make more money for them. Yes, there'll be... — read more
