Are people kidding themselves that their RSU's will vest before the deal closes? I keep seeing "July" as a forecast to when the deal will be inked, but what if it is sooner than anyone thinks?

Closing a deal of this size takes a lot of effort and time. It is very unlikely to close before May or even June. So most folks will vest their end of March, early April RSUs.
If anything happens early, it would be the deal falling apart.
