Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

If you're still here in six months, it'll be your own fault

It's not easy to leave. I've been looking and what's easily available comes with a major pay cut, so I can understand being reluctant to take an offer like that. But after four months of determined searching, I finally received two good offers, one of which I'm ready to take. Better offers exist, you just need to keep looking and be determined about it. If you took a quick look and decided it's all bad, then stay in a company that's about to either lay you off or push more work on you than it's humanly possible to do. It's all on you.

It depends. Someone who worked for 10-15 years in Citrix could wait to get the severance and then leave. Retention bonuses are also not out of the question.
