They think they'll be running the company once joined with tibco. But it'll be the other way around. There will be a Red Wedding for Citrix upper echelons. But they deserve what is coming to them

Current management thinks they are going to be around. B.S. All of the Tibco duplications will be gone. Marketing, Finance, legal, some of sales, all deduped. HR- the first out the door.
Then PE will upgrade the people that brought Citrix to its knees: Joe Kim, Sridhar, LeStrat, and the whole bunch. Those guys will be wondering why they did not take the prior exit packages instead of facing the weekly orifice examinations of the PE overlords.

Regardless, we will cruise along until the door is shown. you bet I will refuse to pick up phone to answer to customer.. we are all body dead anyways..
PRSUs are not ironclad guarantees. PEs are well aware of Citrix manacement competency level. Exhibit A - Wrike acquisition, Exhibit B - any other acquisition over last 15 years, Exhibit C - driving remote work company stock down during global pandemic. PEs want to curtail high level discontent before deal closes. Afterwards they'll do what they do best - trim the fat with minimal expense
