Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Have you already started looking?

Some of my colleagues would rather stay and wait for severance pay, but I don't think that's a good idea. It is better to make an effort and find something now, than to start looking after cuts when many will start applying. I think it's easier to find a job now than ever.

Are you guys still holding on? For what, severance packages? Unless you are planning to retire and want to use the severance package for a last few coins in the bucket, the time is now to GET OUT. Anyone that can be made to work at a lower cost will be. Many Engineers in California, Raleigh, Florida- you will be second to go after the gut out back-end operations like finance.

The only groups that will see less impact will be sales- they need these folks to sell the old tech that Citrix just could not convert to deal with SaaS.

I agree with the response provided. Severance packages under TIBCO will be nowhere near the Citrix severance packages that people got during the Q4 layoffs. In retrospect, the people who were let go in Q4 are likely going to be better off than those of us who are still here.

Tell your colleagues there not going to get the old Citrix severance packages. They’re going to get TIBICO severance packages and that’s only 1 week per year employed.
