ELT and Elliott drove the price down from the 140s to the high 70s. Then scoop it up at a perceived 20-25% premium.

There needs to be an SEC investigation of the details and timeline of the $1.75B Vista/Wrike cash out deal that accelerated the Citrix stock price demise last year.

Agree. Why go thru a leverage buyout, have uncertainty for months and see you get nothing out of this except angst. The PE don’t give a damn about employee morale, they only care about maximizing profits. Gonna be an awful time on uncertainty and angst. So many higher paying jobs out there.

A deal like this will take 3-5 months to close. So, the stock will be bouncing around and your RSU's will continue to vest. And there will be a lot of anxiety to deal with. They may even give out new RSUs just in case the deal falls apart! For the top execs, they will get lucrative packages with lavish payouts when the PE inevitably exits in 4-5 years. For rank and file, not so much. If you are in Florida, you may have to grin and bear it. If you can find a remote role, or are in Raleigh or California, better jobs are far more preferable than the PE situation.

Recent departees are landing roles with better pay. Why suffer through PE?

Until the deal closes, RSUs will continue to vest. Because until the deal closes, anything can happen to derail it. This is better than waiting for the outcome of RSUs with the deal- will they accelerate, convert to cash bonuses etc.

If you are considering a job change, best to see what is going to transpire in the next few days. Then, decide whether you want to wait if there is RSU acceleration.

I wonder how long it will take for the sale to be completed... and how this will affect RSUs vesting on March 1st...

Got to hand it to Calderoni. He made tons of money all these years. He made another 20 or 30M as interim CEO. And he’ll cash out his shares at a premium. All on the backs of employees.
