Citrix is a joke

Saying employees are disgruntled would be an understatement of gigantic proportions. Working here has easily become one of the most regrettable choices I made in my career, with no close second. I'm currently spending all of my free time looking for... — read more

More layoffs are likely

Tom Krause is going to lead the combination of Citrix and TIBCO -- presumably to help cut costs and improve profitability (his primary expertise while at Broadcom). More layoffs are therefore likely. He is known to view each business unit through the... — read more

New CEO

It’s a good sign that someone like Tom Kraus is taking helm of Tibrix. He is by background a corporate development guy so good at chop and shop. Let’s have our imagination run wild for a second and probe his, Eliot and Vista’s brains to see what they... — read more

Nobody is holding you hostage

Stop whining! Stop complaining! Nobody is holding you hostage. This is a job you can leave whenever you want. You should try it. You are not victims in this. You are doing a job you signed on to do. If you don't want to do it anymore for whatever... — read more

Take this advice to heart

My message to all young people that need to prepare for what comes next: think and act like you're a self-employed person who has to prove their real worth every day. Become recognized for a unique skill that few others in your role can master... — read more

Age is a hazard at Citrix

Your chances of being laid off grow exponentially with every birthday. Yes, some people will make it to retirement but that number has been going down each year. It's not fun to be in your fifties and have to worry more and more about what will... — read more

There's no such thing as a non-toxic company culture

Not when it comes to larger corporations. In my three decades of working for various large companies, I've never found one that had a good company culture. Changing companies hoping to find one with decent culture is like tilting at windmills. You're... — read more

I got an offer from Citrix

It's a good offer but I'm worried that if I join I'm setting myself up to be laid off within a few months. I know my worth and I know there's a reason why I got the offer, so it would stand to logic they'd want to keep me. Still, it'd be good to know... — read more

Keep searching for a new job

Even if you think you're safe, never stop looking. I see so many people relinquish control of their own lives by staying in a company where they are downright miserable. There's no need for that. You have all the power to make the change you need... — read more

Cuts around the corner?

I wouldn’t like to spread panic, but I expect the worst. Is there anyone who has some insights about cuts? Could they be happening soon? I would most like someone to tell me that there will be none in the near future.

I am freaking out!!!

No senior members left in our team. We are slogging our as--s to keep up with the feature requests and customer issues and calls. I badly wanna switch as the work is no more exciting and there isn't anyone left from whom I can learn or look up to... — read more

Customer satisfaction

Someone mentioned customer satisfaction here. Customer satisfaction used to be very important but now the situation is much different. Citrix doesn't seem to care at all anymore. There are too many reasons for dissatisfaction, aren't there?

Why does stock trade at $89

If the acquisition is at $104 why does the stock trade at such a discount? Is the market building in a renegotiation of the price since the company is loosing so many customers to cloud services like AWS Workspaces and Azure windows desktop.

Is severance package the same for everybody?

I am mostly asking if people over 60 get any additional items, such as healthcare access for longer than the usual one month? I know that some companies make such allowances for older employees (in some cases even for those who are over 50) but I... — read more

If you can't decide whether you want to quit or not

Then ask yourself if you'd be happy at work if layoffs were not an issue. Just disregard future layoffs completely and make your decision based on that. If you realize that you'd still be miserable, then it's time to go. But if you are satisfied with... — read more

SAP Anchors

Such a sad story. 2020, pandemic causing the world to go remote and Citrix usage and growth hits a phenomenal stride. Then the ex-SAP clowns jack quotas and absolutely wreck an amazing trajectory and buy overpriced products like Wrike that may be... — read more

Lack of vision

There are many complaints that Citrix has no vision and that this is one of the main reasons why so many are leaving. I agree, I’m also here just because of pay and I’m leaving as soon as I get a better offer, but I’m curious about what is your... — read more

Who should be reading these?

I always wonder who reads these posts. The disgruntled, the exited, Donna Kimmel, guys from Elliott ? Any rank-and-file from Citrix? For the rank-and-file, this message is for you: All of you are hard working, dedicated souls (a few lazy apples... — read more

Overlord demand layoffs

Heard from a friend more cullings are coming. The stock market collapse is causing the overlords to look for better “employee capital utilization “ so that means another layoff in layman’s terms. Uggg not again..,

Poor JK

Citrix deal renegotiation?

The stock is down to $97. Thoma Bravo just renegotiated one of their deals. No doubt Elliott and Vista are combing through their agreements to find an excuse to renegotiate the deal price, given the market rout. If they succeed, then those who are... — read more

Layoff coming

The Tibix masters are looking for cost reductions before the acquisition. Massive culling coming.

Obsolete skills

I'll be honest, it's a real challenge for me now to find a new job and that's the only reason I'm still here. It seems that the biggest danger of staying here for a long time is having your skills become obsolete? Of course, having up-to-date... — read more

Middle management should mind its own business

I'm getting tired of middle management's interference in our work. I had to make countless changes because they think its more efficient/less costly, when in most cases the opposite is true. Of course, if you try to say something you are ignored. Our... — read more

Lets talk about Priority

Let's be honest

Long hours, no recognition

I "love" how the work culture is such that we're now expected to work long hours - something that was considered going the extra mile before - and we're getting no recognition for it. They slowly morphed the expectations to consider more the norm and... — read more

I read this…

This was a great post that sums up Citrix. “ It is simply impossible to do good work here. You get blocked by entrenched and incompetent managers and stupid processes. The place is rife with incompetence and politics.”

For those that are still there…

Is anyone really working? Is anyone really motivated to do any work? With the groups being decimated (CVAD, sales, Citrix Cloud), how does anyone even get motivated to do a damn thing? What tricks are being used to get yourself up in the morning to... — read more
