Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Severance would be the best way out

Unfortunately, I don't expect anything to get better, in my opinion things can only get worse and more complicated. I received an offer that I am not completely satisfied with, so I am in a dilemma whether it is better to accept such an offer or to wait a little longer here and, hopefully, get paid to leave?

Counter the offer or keep looking. You have until 2023 as they guarantee packages wont be changed. Now is not the time to take any offer, instead find a great offer. As long as you have a paycheck you should not be rushing. Once you get layoff then you can rush on not so great offers.

It is not possible to time the severance. You don't know when and how much are you going to be payed. If you have been in the company for less than 5 years, don't even think but accept the new offer and move.

Counter the offer with one you'd be completely happy with. If they decline, then keep looking. You will get a decent severance package if you are laid off before 2023. You have time to find something.

You might not get paid what you thought to leave. And your offer may go away .
I would move on . You always can come back if you leave on good term.
