Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Tom Krause guarantees massive culling carnage after deal completion

I can guarantee you once it's done, this 'merger' will result in major layoffs. In addition to now redundant positions, expect to see cuts across the board. There's no better time to trim costs and reduce the workforce while keeping it low profile than during something like this. I'm not looking forward to what's to come.
Massive cullings across the board at Shitco are coming.

Most likely we will transition from a software company into a consumer semiconductor company.

Why would TIBCO products be in sustain mode? TIBCO is making good money. Citrix is the company that is useless.

Go Tom, do what you are good at … culling the species

Why even buy the company if you are just going to trash it?

From what I hear almost all Tibco products are going to sustain mode. Expect big cuts on the Tibco side as only bare minimum staff will be keeping the lights on. There will still be cuts in Citrix but mostly outside engineering.

Tibco got a similar speech. By year end, everyone will know their status: in, in for a little while, or out.

For the numerous Indians who do most of the posting here, in the US, a public school is exactly that - the local school that's paid by everyone's tax dollars that the vast majority of Americans went through.

Not a British public school, which is a school anyone can attend as long as they pay for it, which is about what a private school is in the US.

"Good to know he went to public school... Wtf was that? Trying to be a man of the people or some BS??"

Most Ivy League people come through feeder boarding and private schools like Phillips Academy etc. He was likely trying to convey he made it on his own and didn't come from the typical paths where everything is handed to you because of your family.

I took that to mean "I come from a very privileged background."

I'm guessing being somewhat honest about layoffs isn't an indicator that tk is a highly moral individual. Rather, there's no point in lying because everyone knows the Broadcom playbook.

Tibco has not yet scheduled a company-wide presentation by Krause. Management is very happy/smiley as always, at least in public.

It will be a 2nd year in row for layoffs during the holidays. I wonder if he delivered the same horrid message to Tibco.

Do like Steve Miller says, "Go on take the money and run" -- and never look back at Citrix, which is clearly a lost cause at this point in its evolution
