Even if you think you're safe, never stop looking. I see so many people relinquish control of their own lives by staying in a company where they are downright miserable. There's no need for that. You have all the power to make the change you need. I'm not asking you to fully devote yourself to your job search, but if you keep looking and occasionally applying for something interesting that might pop up, you might end up with a positive life change when you didn't even expect it. Everybody should be doing that.

I too look forward to the merging.
The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. It is challenging right now no doubt but with the right attitude, motivation and skill set, one can have a rewarding and fulfilling journey along the merger over the next 12 months and beyond.
