I’ve seen more than a few Chevron ads come across various feeds saying something like “we contribute to your community by employing all these people.” Knowing how many engineering (and other) jobs are leaving…the hypocrisy is amazing.

Been interviewing ENGINE applicants for IT and FE roles, 90% of our offers are being rejected due to poor compensation. Upper management was sold on a false premise of slave labor in India and I hope it is realized externally.

Lot’s of opportunities in Midland. My advice, find a new job and let Chevron figure out how to run MCBU from India. I know I am already job shopping.

No way to live. But if I’m let go, I won’t be able to survive for more than a couple of months without a job. There are many mouths to feed, and quite a bit of debt to manage.
