Question on relocation

What happens if they ask you to move locations to keep your job and you don’t want to move?

Can you decline? Do you still get severance ?

If you are in Houston, they are not going to hand you an offer letter for a job in Bangladesh if you have not shared your willingness to go there. It would have to be in the same area of your current role for them to not give you severance if don’t accept.

If your paycheck is in a different city, and you decline to go pick it up, that is the same as resigning. The Company may offer severance but it does not have to as your job still exists.
