Hearing USA layoff next week, upwards of 1500, CSA the largest part but not exclusively.

Is this offer a mutually beneficial strategy aimed at reducing costs by phasing out higher-paid retirement-age staff, or is it merely a precursor to another wave of layoffs?

The place is a sh-t show. The layoffs that were done at the start of Covid were shameful---done over the phone in a group setting--cold, unprofessional--horribly executed. Treated like criminals. It sounds likes it only downhill from there.
