This round was brutal. It was discomforting, to say the least. Both watching people leave, and experiencing all the anxiety while it was happening. It prompted me to start looking around for other opportunities. It may not look rosy, but if one allows itself to think creatively the opportunities present themselves. I decided to include govt jobs in scouting, as well as only remotely similar jobs in smaller companies. I haven’t found anything yet that would make me leave immediately, but it doesn’t look as bad as I initially thought. If nothing else, looking for another job made me stress less about the future here.
