CSA Management Message to Strained Employees: Work Harder If You Want to Keep Your Job

Completely out of touch and condescending. Management uses this tactic to scare their employees into submission. Management also tells people not to expect promotions, holiday bonuses are off the table as well as merit pay increases. Ah yes, I should just stay in a dead-end job and work around the clock jeopardizing my health and sacrifice my free time for this VP snob who just wants to kiss the ring of the CEO. I’m so sick and tired of this messed up company. I despise these jerks with a passion. Don’t be fooled into this rallying cry to work harder for your job. The COMPANY needs to work harder to find new management who is competent and makes better decisions. THIS IS NOT THE EMPLOYEES’ FAULT! HOW DARE YOU BULLY PEOPLE LIKE THIS!

SF is a major clown. He’s always demanding things to be the top priority. I’m tired of his manipulative and arrogant personality. Everyday I am treated like a yo-yo and rag doll based on whatever he deems to be important on a whim. The guy is totally useless and just expects everyone to give him “the answers” as if there is some magical answer key.

Pete’s way more of a leader than the rotating band of Japanese will ever be.

If anyone thinks PK is a leader they are out of their mind. Nothing but a waste of salary and the others from CBS that came are too.

I'm not quite sure that the Japanese are the only block of people in CSA that are the problem. The VP of Marketing and his director was let go, which was a positive action from the Japanese management to try and correct the mismanagement in the florida office. At some point the VP of the PPS organization and his direct reports who "are" the ring kissers need to be weeded out. There is a mentality that comes from HP and IBM from a couple of the management that migrated from there. I would imagine that come January when CUSA dissolves CSA that a few will be missing from the management role call.

Even before this CSA was the worst division of Canon. I've never seen such a confrontational and outright hostile attitude towards any and all other subsidiaries before.

How do they get away with this? All I hear from my friends that work there is that they keep promoting the Japanese expats who have absolutely no clue what they are doing and provide zero value to the company while demoting (YES DEMOTING!!) Americans. Can someone please explain this? How has there not been a company wide strike or lawsuit?

You are absolutely right, the management at this company has driven it into the ground. and they are laying off staff to try and correct their poor decisions. The problem is the people who have created this mess are still there and still making decisions. Do yourself a favor, get away from the sh---y culture, the incredibly poor leadership, and the narcissistic behavior so prevalent at Canon. The whole place is setup to kiss the bosses ring, rather than do what is right. They break contracts with customers, and vendors whenever it suits them to do so, and hide that activity. It's sad to see a company behaving such as this. If you do business with this company, know this... you are being lied to. So do so with that knowledge. If you're ok with that, have at it.
