Even if you signed a severance agreement that prohibits you from communication that the company may view as disparaging, you can still reach out to the media anonymously to get coverage on the state of Canon affairs and the possible illegal behavior with singling out specific age groups. There is very little the company can do about that.

It’s not quiet. It’s appearing on X.com and I’m sure it’s being looked into before any local or major media publishes something.
WARN notices are required when 1/3 of the worksite's total workforce, or 500 or more employees at a single site during a 90-day period are laid off. If you can prove this required a WARN notice and wasn’t filed, then file a complaint. Canon is sneaky, though. Canon Virginia laid off 55 employees in February 2024 and then slowly got rid of 35 employees over the next 5 months. Both actions didn’t require a WARN notice because they have 800 employees and that doesn’t meet the 1/3 minimum requirement.
No WARN notices filed? How has this been kept quiet?
