I’m 27 and was laid off, another person not too much older than me was laid off as well. I’m thinking it’s because we had medical issues. The other person took medical leave and I took sick days for medical issues
The youngest I personally know of is 27. The oldest 73. I’m mid 50s.
This is actually funny. I think most of you should have been laid off years ago
Sammy said in a room full of people that it's time for the older people to stop being selfish and leave.
They can't just let ONLY the older people out. HR would ensure that not just the old ones go.
It's scary being in the building now - Everyone quiet, worried about their jobs. People crying, it's sad.
Age had nothing to do with the layoffs. The age-based "soft layoff" occurred in Q2 with the voluntary retirements. This was pure "spray and pray" - just shoot into the crowd and take out as many as possible.
Canon laid off the Americans. Ex-Pats seems to have been spared, once again.
They cut who they want to cut and they don’t care who. Management has no idea how the job gets done and doesn’t care to even learn it. Management continues to be poor.
61 and I was with the company for 20 years
I am 25 years old. I did not even hit my 3 year mark. I dont enough experience to obtain another job in my field. It’s pretty messed up
Not entirely true, I knew two guys in their late 20’s / early 30’s who were laid off.
