I haven't been laid off but I decided to leave anyhow. I don't want to wait for the next round to get me. But I've been looking at available jobs for the past few days and what I've been seeing is anything but good. To say that pickings are slim would be an understatement. I feel so bad for the folks who don't have the luxury of searching while still being employed. This is not an employee job market any longer, that's for sure.

What's sad is that I heard they completely eliminated the hiring team across CSA and even CUSA too. When they inevitably open up all these new jobs following the second layoff in Q4, they're going to have to hire a whole new recruiting team again along with it. One of my friends in HR said the very few remaining people on that team are stressed out like crazy.
You do what’s best for you and your family. The communication here is almost nonexistent. The email sent today supposedly from the CEO was not only a bunch of word vomit but also cold. Zero empathy for those that remain to do the work of 20 folks for free.
Its a hard decision I'm in the same boat, do I leave or stay hang it out till my end has come and collect while I look for a job?
