This guy’s poor leadership should be a textbook case study in any respectable MBA program. I would know as a MBA graduate who actually paid attention in school. I could tell by watching the “All Company Meeting” over MS Teams back in January that this guy was completely full of himself. The whole event is cringeworthy with all the top brass rubbing elbows in Melville trying to act like they are some hip technology company or it’s some kind of TED Talk Conference. I certainly will not waste my time to tune in on August 7th for the “2nd Half Kickoff”. So comical, a whole 5 weeks into the 2nd half! The executives have to get their talking points down and their corny slides prepared by their secretaries. Lazy b-ms can’t even do their own preparation. This guy is so desperate to get us back to 5 days in the office. He makes days after a company holiday mandatory in office days for “collaboration”, if the holiday falls on Monday or Wednesday. How petty! lol. Nobody collaborates or communicates in the office. People in the same room as me literally send me messages in Teams. TALK TO ME for heaven’s sake. The culture is so corrupt. Kyosei in Japanese must mean “make me profit, you little peasants!” If this guy came to my office, I would refuse to shake the man’s hand if he walked around to meet & greet. I am greatly disturbed by the cold and heartless way they disposed of the laid off employees. You are only a tool for him and the rest of the management team to achieve their own greedy objectives. Unfortunately, these snobs will be protected and will never have to feel the impact of their failures because they are privileged elites.

The company is rapidly declining, and today's all-company meeting was a complete joke. From admin to senior leadership, everyone is ridiculing the chaotic situation the company has devolved into. Senior leadership has recklessly reassigned staff without consulting frontline management, the ones who actually do the work and understand the roles.
I am eager to observe the unfolding events over the next few months and frankly, I am becoming less concerned about it.
Had a horrible feeling once Mr. Ogawa announced he was leaving. I heard about the hiring freezes in Q1 when we were supposed to get some help on our team that was canceled without warning. Then when the voluntary retirements came about, the writing was on the wall. I should've started looking then, but instead here I am like an id--t sitting at home and unemployed. The changes were sweeping and none of them good. Canon will be full back in office by 2025. That'll weed out even more people. They'll probably announce that at the second half kickoff.
LOL, CEO hot dog man sent out a response today for this post calling for his resignation. What a wu-s bag.
In many states, it is illegal to record a conversation without consent. Even if they did record the conversation, what exactly would that accomplish????
I’m hearing that some people recording the layoffs on their phones. Anyone hearing the same?
