Layoffs have started at HQ. Is Target trying to get around the WARN Act by limiting the layoffs by groups?

Target Corporation was known for its work culture and now with foreign leadership, Target is not the same. Foreign managers! Have empathy towards your employees, they are not your slaves.

Seems like there are a lot of jobs posted on Workday in India. Is Target's long-term plan to shift as much HQ work as they can get away with to India?

Teams affected by layoffs will be those with a lot of WFH (work from home employees) . Those are the easiest to quietly get rid of. Currently discussing a 15% cut across the board starting with early retirement offers. Big cuts coming mid January.

What is the plan to save $3B by streamlining operations? Sounds like layoffs to me, and as a Corporate team member for 20 years, there’s plenty of room to do so.
