I saw the post from another asking if target will survive and the reality is import tariffs will greatly impact companies that rely heavily on import and don’t have the overhead or margin for significant losses. Amazon might hurt but they have a monopoly on e-commerce and market share, they’ll survive even the worst of years. BUT Target, Kohl’s, Walmart to an extent, Costco, etc are going to have make strategically difficult decision over the next 4 years. Amazon will scoop up all of that market share and Jeff Bezos will continue to push money to the administration as they reward his company with government contracts and private investments. Welcome to capitalism. Monopolies win. The consumer will ultimately lose. The future is here baby.

Target can layoff at least 30% of their employees (non store) WFH and literally not miss a beat. Laziest workers ever
I think it is funny that you are OK with your jobs being sent overseas but the minute someone tries to save your economic standing, you clutch your pearls.
The tariffs are intended to incentivize corporations to bring manufacturing jobs back to the US. Obviously, there are problems with this strategy, and it probably won't work. I don't think Trump has some 4D chess strategy of trying to drive TGT and WMT out of business through tariffs because he likes Jeff Bezos.
