Is this a safe space where we can talk about our pay raises?

  1. 5% raise is not unheard of, but 100% of the time it happens when a change to the pay level means your salary was dramatically below the pay averages. It is good PR for them and also good insulation from retailiation/unfair employment lawsuits.

Not saying you did not work hard, but it is not the reason you got a 9.5% raise.

I was able to get a 9.5% increase this year but I worked hard and deserved it

A lot of good comments here! The one critical person’s posts sound like the same critical poster on every post here. Its the same writing style as in UHC, WFB, USB, Medtronic, Apple, and a Mpls few consulting companies as well… so to all readers: there is one bored angry person posting across platforms evidently.

I agree with the consensus which is raises are at the absolute best tracking inflation. I also can agree we have seen senior leaders removed to “bring in fresh industry perspectives” and of coooourse we lose a senior leaders with at least years of experience and get someone who has never worked in the area at all but reports to the executives (or did in a prior role).

Unless you are one of the “chosen”, your annual raises are almost not noticeable. Here’s the game, fill your calendar with meaningless “connects”, “status” is out. To show how brilliant you are, suggest collaboration meetings with multiple teams. You’ll come across as “engaged” while waisting everyone’s time. Put meaningless PowerPoint presentations together so your boss can ooo and aww. Finally, interrupt every meeting with redundant questions or worthless comments. With these tips you’ll be on your way.

“ You'll get a good one this year. A WFH pink slip. Tune up your cars kids! Life work balance is over. Time to get daycare and get up before 9!”
What’s your problem, man? I’d love to know your history at this corporation. I’ve been here 15 years, wfh for 5. I guarantee I put in more hours, including nights and weekends, than you do. You sound mostly like a disgruntled L3 who’s butthurt because you’ve been asked to RTO for paper pushing job. Yikes.

7% increase is the highest I received, this was pre pandemic.

Can anyone share details on leadership cuts and teams moving?

Anyone else get a bad feeling we are getting laid off once these 70 hour weeks end? Cutting leadership… moving teams to new areas with no real association?

What’s the highest yearly raise anyone has received (promotions don’t count).

  1. 3%?! Consider yourself lucky because I got 1.5% two years straight; and finally got a 3% (1.5% was during Covid when company made a sh-t ton of money). And always got great performance reviews.

Don’t work any harder than usual. It does not really matter.

Target has always had a blue chip mentality comparatively. A lot of companies with big raises or monster bonuses also fire the bottom 50% of their new hiring class annually. You also get at best “personal time” on Saturday evenings instead of weekends and accrued PTO.

The same 3.3 raise year over year, regardless of performance. Never keeps up with inflation

Despite its falling stock price, Target absolutely has the bankroll for raises…especially for good employees.

People forget, this is a $100 billion company…even without the Trump issues, the market had to normalize post pandemic.

I’d be way more concerned if people weren’t getting reasonable yearly pay increases…or worse, no raise at all!

If you're receiving pay raises in this current climate then Target has bigger problems than I thought.
