Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

What happened to “Grow Time?”

Why is Cornell still CEO? Who in their right mind says “it’s grow time!” on stage and the company shrinks in stock value by half over the next two years?

The lack of accountability is mind-blowing. We’re back to the 2012 phase of having two cashiers open and empty shelves. I was at a local Target yesterday and they were out of duct tape.

Many of these higher-income CEOs are out of touch with reality. Their needs are met, so they are unable to think beyond that. Remember that Sears, JCPenney's, and KMART were once grandfathered in brick and mortar stores with their higher-ups thinking that nothing would happen to them, yet they are pretty much toast. Sadly, Target isn't looking so good. We'll have to wait and see what the end of fiscal year 2024 (June 31, 2025) looks like. My guess is emptier shelves and layoffs.

In 3. 2. 1. We are struggling with inventory due to Tariffs and Trump. Tell me again why Walmart, Hyvee, Cub, etc have inventory?!

Multi decade bullseye here. The downfall started with the social justice nonsense and DEI. Every fricken day we were blasted with St George Floyd was mu---red. BS. BC sold TGT to the political left to appease the mentally ill and the crowd whose brains are between their legs. I long for the days for more lectures on white privilege.

This is feeling exactly like 2013-14 again and BC is the new Steinhafel. I liked Cornell pretty well until recent years but it’s clear he needs to go. We need younger blood, bold, fresh ideas, and someone who can turn things around.

He’s past due to take his golden parachute and dip. There are a lot of disgruntled employees right now and morale is terrible. The only way to save this is with new leadership.

He's required to retire this year. He swindled the board into extending the mandatory retirement age based on the smoke and mirrors that was 2020/2021.

He should have been fired immediately after saying that guests were thanking him for locking up merchandise. WTF?

We’re out of duct tape and out of our minds!

Target’s fall among publicly adored brands might be the worst in the last 20 years if it weren’t for Tesla and that buffoon Elon.

We’ll have to see what leaderships’ plans are. There's still plenty of time to 💩 the bed again.
