Target is too stubborn to compete. They think their Tarzhay magic will carry them through hard times. Unfortunately that doesn't help families who are struggling. Who cares about Wicked and Taylor Swift. The revenue from those are chump change. Also when will the investors truly come to learn HQ is full of people who have either become lazy or complacent based on being overlooked for promotions and career growth? Their shift back to hybrid is sneaky and will only tap back into the twin city talent which is mediocre at best. The lack of innovation and continuous growth is shocking for a company this big. Silent layoffs to come in Target's usual style.
Brian will probably get canned soon. Maybe a really strong Q4 could buy him more time but his days are numbered. The only question is if the layoffs happen before or after that happens. Bad times in the twin cities as Cargill is apparently about to do mass layoffs shortly.
I can feel a huge layoff coming after these sad results. They continue to struggle with inventory yet the local competitors have full shelves.
CIrcle, DriveUp, and Shipt is a joke. No inventory and terrible communication with orders.
HD scoundrels keeps on winning. When will Target learn?
Wondering what kind of vetting Target is doing to protect themselves and the consumer with all the personal information sharing with India? Oh wait, they complete E-Learnings or LMS training. I feel so safe now.
We buy all of our sh-t from low cost countries might as well have our workers there too, apparently. Brian must need a new house in SW Florida.
I just learned several colleagues were jettisoned under these auspices. The two I knew had 15+ years with the company in hard/difficult forecasting and financial analysis. Not just following knowledge articles on the phone..
They were told within days after the huge rally downtown at the basketball arena too… the layoffs to date always follow these “Core Weeks” and we are in one now. God speed everyone. Look out for yourselves and your resumes/careers first.
